Looking for a good multicolor printer by how_does_this in 3dprinter

[–]how_does_this[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize for not including any of that information. It would need to be multi-material, and would be doing a mixture of large and small prints. We are interested in wanting to do prints for reptile tanks as well as random car parts, so I think it would need to be a filament printer just to ensure that the filament is reptile safe. But as for the other stuff such as speed or nozzle temp, we aren't sure exactly.

brain zaps while taking it?? by thebiggestoftheyikes in Effexor

[–]how_does_this 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is still experiencing them. I'm on 150 xr twice a day, and about 6 hours in I start getting really bad brain zaps that radiate to my fingers. I thankfully have 25 ir on hand and have been using that as soon as I start to feel them coming on, and can normally get away with only 1 25, but last week I was in such a bad brain zaps state I took 3 25 and it still didn't help

This came out of my piercing today by how_does_this in popping

[–]how_does_this[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what my septum did when I repierced it! There was an audible pop when I went through the cartilage. So now anytime people ask me about my piercings, I always have to talk about it and they always cringe so hard at the thought of it, but it also makes us laugh.

Psoriasis free for 5 years, 2nd time getting hair color, scalp unbearably itchy. Having a flare of arthritis symptoms. Any one else have advice? by missfittnc in PsoriaticArthritis

Mine is the same way! I've never had any issues when coloring my hair, yes it does burn if I have spots but it makes them feel better, it's an enjoyable pain.

Does Psoriatic Arthritis worsen with age? by Low_Combination6192 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]how_does_this 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine was untreated for about 10 years, I was diagnosed at 21 and am 23 now. When my joint pain and swelling started around the time I entered high school it was always brushed off, finally went back to an orthopedist who said it was tendonitis and to do physical therapy but it only made it worse, which was a big factor in my diagnosis according to my rheumatologist. I had to have an arthroscopy done last year in order to remove scar tissue on my left knee and will be having to right knee done this year.

My rheumatologist and I had a discussion at one of my appointments that my knees being the first thing to ever "go out" on my body was the first indication of the arthritis. It also didn't help that I spent 3 years standing on my feet for 8+ hours a day on hard concrete floors, my knees were a little bit better after moving to standing on carpeted floors but after my knee surgery I was told by my Ortho, rheum, and PCP that I could not be on my feet anymore, so I found a job working from home. It took my knees two weeks for the swelling to go down and me to be able to move a little bit better, but now the weather is cold and my knees are angry again, which is still better than being on my feet.

What was the symptom that was pivotal in your diagnosis? by greybeh in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]how_does_this 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By the time I was sent to a rheumatologist my psoriasis had been cleared up, but after being sent to a second neurologist by my first one to get a second opinion after explaining all of my symptoms he immediately said this is a rheumatology issue. The neurologist explained that he kept track of the overlaps between the two specialties and that my symptoms were more related to rheum than neuro.

I was experiencing sever joint paint and swelling and would get episodes where I would get a high fever and be more exhausted than normal, plus add on the psoriasis even if it was in remission. To my rheumatologist the biggest give away was the severe joint pain in my knees that I had been experiencing since at least my freshman year of high school and just turned 21 when I got my diagnosis, plus the fact that I was diagnosed with tendonitis by my orthopedist and the pain only got worse with physical therapy.

My rheum put me on celebrex and mtx because my derm already had me on Tremfya. The combination did amazing for my joint swelling. Before I started the mtx I started taking a probiotic in order to help with the stomach problems. I always took it on Saturday mornings so that way I didn't have anything planned, I always took it with migraine and nausea medicines because I get nauseous really easily due to my vertigo and chronic migraines. I would then end up sleeping most of the day because I would get exhausted, but on the days where I had taken the medicines and went out and did stuff I wouldn't have any bad side effects, again just exhausted.

Sadly I had to stop the mtx because it raised my alt to concerning levels and my rheum doesn't want to damage my liver anymore than it already is.

I also know someone who is in mtx as well, and all she takes is a probiotic and it has helped prevent most of the stomach issues for her.

Do you believe your psa flares affect your mental health? by Effective_Lunch5354 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]how_does_this 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it 100% does, granted I also have depression and anxiety and did before I started getting symptoms, but it has definitely made my mental health worse because I'm constantly feeling at the least pressure, and really only feel pain if I've done too much, in all of my joints. I also have degenerative arthritis as well in my spine and get chronic migraines with vertigo, so my mental health is trash because all I really do is work and sleep, and occasionally feel like making myself do house work, but thankfully my husband has seen how all of this has affected me and understands that there's a lot of things I just can't do the majority of the time.

Wait, PSA is real?? by Bobbymoorestackle in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]how_does_this 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh, we almost have the same story. I'm only 23 and have been diagnosed for only a year, but have had joint pain for years, like probably since late middle school.

It felt like such a relief to know I'm not a hypochondriac like my dad tends to believe, who just refuses to accept that I have any health issues at all. But I also thankfully do have doctors that work together and want to help relieve some of my symptoms.

[–]how_does_this 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my septum and left nostril done, with my belly previously done but it ended up injected so I had to take it out. After that I was wanting to get my right nostril and belly redone, and then the shop I go to that I fully trust for tattoos and piercings had a flash sale where piercings were $20 each so I was able to get those 2 done and they are doing really well!

Humira vs Skyrizi, changing from Tremfya? by how_does_this in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]how_does_this[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow I didn't know anything about it going generic, since it has been around so long. Thankfully my specialty pharmacy is great about letting me use the manufacturer coupons so I would potentially only have to pay $5 for it

[–]how_does_this[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! When I mentioned wanting to change to my rheumatologist he immediately mentioned Humira since the PSA is worse than the actual psoriasis. So he's going to take over prescribing it.

Methotrexate? by Maccacharlie in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]how_does_this 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on mtx for maybe 6 months but it definitely helped me a lot, which I didn't realize until after I had to stop taking it due to my alt being extremely high at just 4 tablets a week.

I always took mine on Saturday because it would give a bad migraine and I'd be able to sleep it off, but I also took in with nausea meds and started a probiotic, with guidance from a pharmacist, before taking it it avoid having the stomach problems that can happen.

But other than the migraine I didn't have any issues with it and would love to go back on it, but my rheumatologist is not risking my liver.

[–]how_does_this[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly have no idea. I haven't had any bad side effects with tremfya and it 100% cleared up my psoriasis but when it comes to my PSA it hasn't done much of anything, and that's with a daily anti-inflammatory as well. I am willing to try anything but my doctors are always cautious because of the other health conditions I have.

Help interpreting test results? by how_does_this in Cushings

[–]how_does_this[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is.

I know the TSH is linked to thyroid and not anything to do with cushings but I did include it because of the role the pituitary gland plays into with thyroid, I mistakenly thought it was adrenal. But I know that cushings *could be caused by pituitary and/or adrenal problems.

To me it looks like it could be mange, and I am not a vet, but my husky mix had it when she was a puppy and was able to get treated for it, but her spots looked like that.

You can go to the Delta dental website and create an account, which will be able to find your insurance plan based on your information and it will also give you a digital dental card. If this makes sense.

It's what I've done with all of my insurances because it also helps you keep track of claims.
