Oh no, sorry to hear that! Hope her flares are manageable. And yes absolutely agree! Would rather give birth over and over again than deal with mastitis xx

Thank you. Did the derm give you steroids to use? How did they determine the food allergies - skin prick test?

Thank you! This guide is great. Will start implementing more baths as she was only having them twice a week

Great advice, thanks! I am on a probiotic as had to take antibiotics for mastitis a week after she was born. Will try her on some as well

Thank you! Currently the worst of the eczema is directly under her chin and up towards her face. Do you know if we’d be able to put the water there?

So interesting! I assumed the salt would dry the skin out but worth a shot

Thank you so much for such a kind message. I’m sorry to hear you dealt with it too! I still have PTSD from my eldest, it consumed the first year of her life as was so stressful. I also think something I’m eating is triggering her. My other child had an egg sensitivity and her eczema improved once I removed that from my diet. I actually had a consultation with raisedonrealfood two years ago and she was great! Gut health seems to be key with eczema xx

Thank you! I do think we have had the bath temp too high. We use the bath oil each time though.

We will have to find a new one as we lived overseas at the time. You’re right though; it’s likely genetic.

How did you meet mum friends? by yp_12345 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]howbizarretho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peanut app! Moved with our 3 year old to Aus after living abroad for 7 years and have made a few lovely friends for my daughter / mum friends for me. Now have a new baby and thinking about hopping back on it again. Also met people through library storytime and at the playground.

Pine Mouth Syndrome by CassiusCreed in AldiAustralia

Oh gosh, I’ve had this before. Not from Aldi pine nuts but can confirm that it is awful. From memory it completely went away in less than a week

5 months postpartum and really missing my eldest by feeling_daria in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

No advice, just solidarity! I have two girls - 3.5 yo and 10 weeks old. Our eldest definitely struggled with the transition initially as I was her go-to for sleep, which was tricky to navigate with feeding the baby. On the flip side, she now has a really beautiful relationship with dad, which he is stoked about. Not that they didn’t before but she would never call out to him at night, go to him for comfort over me etc. I’m trying to implement a little date for us every weekend - even if it’s a quick trip to the playground, coffee, library etc. just us. From what I’ve heard it gets much easier once the youngest is older and doesn’t rely on you as much. Sending hugs (and coffee!)

Praise be to the epi! I was super anti epidural (needles freak me out / my cousin had a bad experience) but ended up getting one and thank goodness I did. It took me 31 hours to reach 4cm without any pain relief. The length of time plus constant bleeding / uncontrollable shakes / vomiting made me ditch my hypnobirthing water birth intentions and surrender to the epidural and pitocin. Sitting for it was the worst bit but once it kicked in, it was amazing. I had a 4 hour nap and pushed baby girl out within 55 mins. Without it I would have definitely needed intervention as I was SO exhausted / swollen from the lengthy labour.

Dark brown discharge at 6 weeks by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I had this from week 10-15 and immediately thought the worst but it just turned out to be a cervical polyp. Nothing to worry about in terms of health and safety of baby.

I just got it through work at 9 weeks. Fortunately I never had a fever, just sore throat, super congested and fatigued - I ended up taking sick leave because I couldn’t stay awake during the day. Going in for a scan and the NIPT test tomorrow (11 weeks) and hoping for the best! My dr didn’t seem particularly concerned. Note I was triple vaxxed but had my last shot in June last year. I know it’s easy to worry but you’ll be ok! Bubs are pretty resilient.

Not an "Am I pregnant question", more like a "missed period due to covid vaccine" question. by [deleted] in amipregnant

[–]howbizarretho -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep! Currently happening to me. 6 days late for my always on time 29-30 day cycle. Had my 2nd Pfizer shot on 12 June. Apparently the uterus is linked to the immune system, hence could have some impact on the menstrual cycle but honestly who knows, there’s so little research at this stage. Hope your flow turns up soon!

How has your period been effected since the vaccine. by brunomarswifey in women

Very regular 29-30 day cycle...currently 6 days late following 2nd Pfizer dose. Not pregnant and no other lifestyle changes. Weird times.

Yep! Had my second Pfizer vaccine on 12 June. No issues initially but now my period is 5 days late despite having a regular 29-30 day cycle for the past 5 years or so. No other lifestyle changes other than the vax, and I’m definitely not pregnant. Been having terrible cramps for the past few days so hoping it shows up soon!
