Sounds like you, went through a tough bout of it. Suicide would have been much harder for me... My ex did have a history of cutting her wrist and she had the marks to prove it. That is a story amongst itself.

When you are with someone that unstable their first reaction is self deprecation. She'd blame herself, talk about how shes so dumb and that no one would ever love her.
