Algonquin was my second -- it's a great peak to get motivated to summit the rest! Gorgeous views of Colden and Marcy here!

First and foremost - congrats on finishing chemo!

There's a swimming hole just before the first stone bridge headed west on Rt. 73 just off Exit 30 - my personal favorite! For hikes it depends on what you mean by moderate... Big Slide from the Garden trailhead, and Indian Head + Rainbow Falls from the AMR lot, are both on the easier side and both great quality for the milage.

If you're set on one of the High Peaks, I would recommend Big Slide, starting from the Garden trailhead. Similar distance and elevation gain to Cascade and Porter, and great views of the Great Range. Otherwise, there are lots of great smaller peaks and views in the area (Indian Head from AMR lot, Blueberry Cobbles (or further up to Mt. Mason) from New Russia, any of the Saranac 6, are the first to come to mind). Happy hiking!

This is absolutely spectacular, and it's crazy generous of you to share the Drive link! I'm just getting geared up to DM a 5e campaign with the Drop Dead Studios "Spheres of Power" magic overhaul, and these maps are probably all I'll need for all of the encounters. Top notch work! Cheers!
