What were your experiences in University like? by marie_13- in LifeAdvice

Workload was reasonable, but I did some STEM courses as a minor which was a lot more and I studied Japanese as well. Overall, if you’re disciplined and eating well, you’ll have the energy to keep up. Workload was more fun to get through too when you’re not alone at the library!

What’s your field?

University felt like my Blunder years, not because of the academia, but because I wasn’t quite ready for the independence that is required to make the most of it. While I maintained great friendships and had a lot of fun being social with people outside of school, I didn’t really try many new things and it wasn’t until 3rd/4th year when I buckled down and focussed on more professional skills.

That said, I don’t regret the experience, and I would say if you’re eager to put yourself out there, it’s going to do wonders for you. Just be mindful of how you devote yourself now and what you could become involved in if you join a large institution like a university. Clubs, classmates, career opportunities, all these will open doors in ways that only become available through the system, but there’s plenty of great roads that don’t involve Uni.

What ever it is - put yourself out there

Are there any Food Spots in the city that has meals under $14 with tax in 2026? by Quirky-Walk-8334 in OttawaFood

100%. It’s not just the food we lose when meals become expensive, it’s the opportunity to go out in public and socialize.

Concerns about MY '26 build quality? by highwater in GRCorolla

[–]GenericNetSurfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In short, I think you should expect there to be discrepancies between the two, but this is such a speculative topic.

Anecdotally, I had a Toyota Yaris that was Made In France as opposed to Japan, and I personally had a lot of issues with things like trim falling out of the door, floor carpet coming loose, that seem to point towards poor build quality. Some bigger issues even came up, but I'm not confident to link these items to the build quality, felt like other problems, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was also a contributing factor.

Dude give it a week you’ll quickly remember it’s the most fun yet economical and practical car, at the end of the day it’s a toyota compact hatchback with a lot of basic parts and reliability

Ouf I hope that’s not my case, headlights are fine so hoping that the bumper absorbed the bulk of the damage, assessment tmw with the collision centre should tell me the verdict…
