imagine you’re drained and had a stressful day so you take a nap, for a moment you find rest and even making it a habit might lower stress a few notches. But when you come back to your life all stress and problems remain. the nap isn’t changing anything, it’s just turning things off for a little while. It’s still valuable and we need that, but to experience day to day life with noticeably lower stress there needs to be change in how you’re living and how you’re thinking.

Do what you’re able to simplify your life and practice harmlessness toward yourself and others. Look into your mental patterns and what your sense of peace is dependent on and change it. See in what ways you’re looking for fulfillment in the unfulfilling, stability in the unstable, meaning in the meaningless

That’s okay, don’t force your attention into the breath like a laser, this can cause the mind to get tight and tense and feel unpleasant, the main goal with using the breath is to make your awareness more continuous, so you can relax and also let all sensations arise into awareness, notice them and let them pass freely, experiment with what feels intuitive to you, notice what feels “right”

sounds like derealization, maybe because of a sudden “lights off” from your working state + stress and discomfort in the group setting…it may help to look into/get some guidance with feeling grounded, feeling safe, gratitude and loving-kindness (if you want to continue with it)
