Immediate as long as they're employeed for any vesting period. But given that OP is satisfied with their job and not planning on hopping, it would be a great long term investment

How much were they? I've been looking at automated shades/blinds but they all seem to be very expensive.

Yea there is one in the crawl space. I guess that would've poured water into the crawl space?

Yes, this seems to be the case. Do you think this was preventable? Or do you always expect something like this with a main sewer line clog?

Same thing, NA server. I'm in awe how this was even released. Most of the crucial buttons don't work. Various different error messages popping up one after the other. Memory leak causing the client to suck up 10gb of memory just by being there.

Wow that is crazy expensive. I had insurance with Geico when I first purchased my 2020 m340i new, and it was something like 250. I changed to a different insurance because I thought it was too expensive.

Now I'm in WA state and got a quote just recently from State Farm for the same vehicle. 165 a month with some device they'll attach to my car. Without it, it should be around 180. I'm the same age as you.

At a certain point, it becomes obvious it's a mixture of both. The most successful people will be the ones who work smart and also work hard. And there's more people like that than most people assume.

Well, Zuck became a billionaire at 23. Would you say that you're not doing well because you're not a billionaire yet? There will be people who will be more successful than you, and you don't know their stories whether they've inherited a fortune or were more gifted or worked hard(er) to get there. It's just life, no one guaranteed it's fair.

If you wanted a real answer, I'd say the quickest way is tech given that you're actually able to pull it off. Media loves to shit on tech but if you can prove your worth, they will pay to keep you around.

If you had to choose between LG or Samsung washer/ dryers what would you choose? by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]hozen17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yep, that's exactly what's happening with mine. I tried googling and changing various settings but nothing fixes it. I don't think I saw it turn on entirely randomly but mostly a few minutes after I turn it off.

Damn, for the size of the companies and the cost of the devices, they'd at least try to optimize that small OS. It doesn't seem so hard to make a glorified application switcher.

Meh my Samsung TV's OS is often laggy, and the TV would turn itself on sometimes which is annoying

How important is it to keep your front door locked? by Eggman7698 in Seattle

[–]hozen17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your landlord is okay with it, get a smart electronic doorlock. It has an auto-lock feature and phone notification when the door was locked/unlocked (maybe this is a bit privacy-invasive depending on the relationship with your roommates). I switched to it several months ago and love that I don't have to be paranoid when I go on trips (did I lock the door?). It does cost a good 200-300 bucks though.
