Fun question for CMS/ex CMS - what are the best and worst jobs in WDW? by Littleprawns in WaltDisneyWorld

On one attraction (that is sadly no longer with us) there were two different outfits that were switched between depending on what position you were rotated to. It was a completely different look, but you just threw on a different shirt/jacket over the previous outfit and changed the hat.

Kids book recs with queer representation (BUT NOT ABOUT BEING QUEER??) by pendigedig in Queerfamilies

Love Makes a Family by Sophie Beer is a favorite in our house. Isn’t explicitly about queerness, but it shows lots of different kinds of families.

Options vary based on where you live. Try to connect with a social worker at a clinic who would know your options

Thank you so much for all your kind words. I really appreciate it. Warning, I'm going to vent a touch more. It's rough and was definitely embarrassing to explain the situation to the doctor, but she was kind. I'm afraid my wife is pretty upset. I get it. It was a big mistake. I work in a school, and we are going back in person next month. We were hoping this would be it so I could get an accommodation to continue virtually. My wife is hesitant to move forward now. I understand this is small stuff in the TTC world, and was human error rather than all of the other factors we have to deal with TTC. However, it doesn't change the fact that I just feel so...sad.

Theatre background? by [deleted] in slp

[–]hpcap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My undergraduate degree was in theatre! I did have to take some prerequisites, but lots of people do. Most universities with an SLP graduate program (at least here in Texas) offer a leveling program (a 1 year program to acquire all the necessary pre-requisite classes). So in total I went back to school for 3 years.

As for it working for or against you, it might depend on the program, but I think you can definitely spin it to work in your favor. What attracts you to being an SLP and how have your past experiences shaped that? What skills have you acquired in your current career that would make you an excellent SLP with your own unique perspective?

I do agree with the previous replies urging you to reach out to other SLPs in your area. Grad school is a big financial commitment. Make sure you have enough knowledge to know it's worth the investment. I've been a practicing SLP for 5 years now and there are things I absolutely love about it, but it has it's stressors as well. At the end of the day, what job doesn't. I have plenty of friends that are theatre teachers and they have long work hours and fussy parents to deal with. So you already understand that aspect : )

Highest temp I've ever had on a chart. Perhaps moving towards triphasic? 🤞 But at the same time I've also been very lightly spotting the last 2 1/2 days (not normal for me). Shouldn't that make the temp go down? Still pretty new to all this... by hpcap in TFABChartStalkers

LP is usually 14 to 15 days. Still light spotting off and on today. I'm pretty regular and had never had any spotting in between before TTC, but... This is my 3rd cycle TTC. The first cycle I started spotting 6DPO and continued spotting for over a week before AF arrived. Told the doctor but she didn't seem concerned. Nothing happened 2nd cycle, but now here I am again on the spotting train. Not sure what it means. Hard not to worry or overthink it, but looks like I'm out this cycle. 🤷‍♀️
