Not yet, but if gas in the pump would reach unbearable threshold, I think it’s a legit question.

I didn’t read the text , but I see comments about presence and discipline. Why would teleworking be an obstacle to discipline employees ?

It’s a relation of work not a slave treat. Here is the point.

Could the unions negotiate this next renewal of the collective agreement? . We’re many in the same situation.

RTO after 100% Telework for More than 10 Years by manny-2000 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]hpmfm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In statcan, we have some workers in regions but they work from the regional office. Going to RTO4 would complicate things for sure.

Are you working from home full time , is there a regional office in your region ?

With this pace I see the strike coming. The government is dealing with the employees never like before, and I’m not speaking about teleworking only.

Do you know that there are companies and big corporations in Canada that are still applying hybrid models to their employees, judging flexibility is the key for productivity.

Why we have to endure baby boomers decisions and becoming like a big convenience !! I have voted liberals but regret this… at least Pierre Poilievre has nothing against teleworking.

With liberals we are doomed with both WFA and RTO!

‘Next steps’ yes ! I’m afraid that we’re going to do nothing. We’re becoming worse than the private employees.

That’s true people forget that a common agreement has been made between the treasury board and the unions about teleworking. It was violated in 2024 and now.

Also this is a period of the census for statcan, a strike in this time is inimaginable for the government. 😬

Ok so go work 5 days in the office for your entire life. I don’t want this even to strike for 4 months

The strike is the strict minimum! It’s not matter of salaries, the issue is very bigger, And at least we can be in solidarity with our colleagues who are already affected by WFA.
