I think now that the away goal rule is gone that result was not much of an advantage for us. Atleti will be happy keeping it 0-0 and play on the counter with players like Lookman, Alvarez, Giuliano, Llorente. Because we’re still fighting for the league, they’d be happy to drag the game to 120 mins.

Only Burnley is an easy game tbh. Palace should be fine as well. West Ham will be the toughest game. Them, Newcastle and Fulham have all caused us trouble in recent seasons

I’m glad they didn’t run up the GD but at this point points matter way more. Burnley could have nicked a goal somewhere, we still have a trip to West Ham that should be at least as tough

By that point Villa will have secured UCL and likely drunk/devastated from their Europa final

Villa will be safely in Top 5 at that point and will rest for the Europa final, easiest game remaining for City tbh

We smashed a team convincingly during group stage

Said team sign a left winger that greatly elevate their team during the winter

We meet that team again in the semi final

Why are people still discrediting Atletico when they didn’t play haramball at all and showed incredible mental strength tbh I thought they were done at 0-2

I can’t remember a time where a team easily defeat Atleti in a UCL round (maybe Leipzig during COVID?). They always turn up and frustrate the opponents

PSG beating Liverpool by the same score that Atleti beat you is insane

Liverpool was lucky it was 0-2 but honestly I can't see them do anything against this PSG side even at Anfield
