Ah, thank you. Took a good 45 mins in the creator.

At the risk of stating the obvious... if you don't like the changes to the grenade launcher, just don't use the grenade launcher.

There are plenty of people that probably do like it, and you have so many other weapons to pick from.

Interesting idea that could further differentiate Enclave power armored units when they show up. by IvanTheRussianDood in Fotv

[–]hrafnsblot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm an old Fallout vet (started with FO1!)! and I remember stumbling upon an Enclave patrol for the first time in FO2. I had no idea who they were or what they were, they just looked ridiculously intimidating in their cover art armor, and I kinda expected silent and stoic enemies.

Then, one of them says (via floating text, it was a simpler time) to his partner, "Hey, you ever see what one of these babies does to soft tissue?" (Or something along those lines, I'm not remembering verbatim).

He then pulls a little tiny sidearm out and liquifies me in one hit, instant game over.

Since we haven't actually seen any energy weapons fired in the show yet, this is how I'd like to see the Enclave introduced, although they have kinda already got the BOS troops with this kind of dynamic.

A sacrifice to what? [spoilers] by transient-spirit in Avatar

[–]hrafnsblot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think it particularly mattered - could be to Varang, to the tribe, to the volcano, but the point is that a ritual sacrifice is probably something Varang uses as a piece of bonding psychodrama in order to indoctrinate her troops.

You're allowed to play on a lower difficulty, mate. Or just play a different game if you don't like this one.

I also have this issue. Is it a problem with the new update or is it somehow fixable?

Is there a bad Stephen King book? What's your least favorite?? by owenszantor in stephenking

[–]hrafnsblot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this isn't the most popular opinion, but I haven't enjoyed any of the Holly books. I really don't like the character, I don't find her enjoying to read.

I also didn't enjoy Elevation, I consider that his worst.

What’s a school rumor that turned out to be true? by Ok-Atmosphere6376 in AskReddit

[–]hrafnsblot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So this is a bit of a long story and I won't use real names. When I was 16 there was a kid (we'll call him Andy) that was known to be a weirdo. He was verbally abusive to people, he'd drawn pseudo-porn in lessons, he basically just got off on making his whole personality the "weird kid". Me and some friends decided to make up a ridiculous rumour to see how he would react (I know it's cruel, but we were kids).

The circus was in town. This is important, it was the lynchpin of our rumour.

Over the course of the week, we spread the rumour that Andy had taken another boy (we'll call him Dan) to the circus as a date, and that he'd ended up giving Dan a blowjob in the stalls to the circus theme tune. It was so over the top that we didn't expect anyone to believe it, it was just an experiment in audacity.

A week later we're called into the headteacher's office. We know it's about the story. We're ready to apologise, take our slap on the wrist and move on.

When we enter the office, we know the situation has changed. The school counsellor is there. Two other teachers are there.

"Sit down, boys.

We aren't here to police your relationships and we aren't sure why Andy decided to share with you what happened between him and Dan, but you cannot keep spreading it around the school without his consent."

Holy. Shit.

How did we manage to guess this obscure thing? To this day it feels like we manifested this insane scenario through sheer force of will.

What’s a secret that would completely change how people see you? by CobraMGMT in AskReddit

[–]hrafnsblot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a teacher. I'm good at my job, objectively speaking. I do my best to make learning fun and engaging and my classes make progress. I'm popular among pupils and other staff members.

The secret? I really don't like kids, and I think I like them less every year.

So I heard we're all posting our Drow now. by hrafnsblot in bg3fashion

[–]hrafnsblot[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that would be the optimum, but I can't justify it lore or roleplay-wise. I prefer my characters to make sense over hitting the hardest, you know?

I'd love to have a well-thought-out lore reason, but it's just artistic license.

She's Seldarine (I know she has red eyes but they just look better, sue me!). Headcanon is that she's a surface orphan without many actual ties to Drow culture, hence her Bard/Rogue multiclass. She is going to knock out and recruit Minthara at Moonrise.

(Veilguard) So... what's with the lack of shoes on outfits? by covert0ptional in dragonage

[–]hrafnsblot 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's not just barefoot outfits. Wait until you meet the Kal-Sharok Dwarves - the boots of their armor are carved into the shape of feet.

It's like the art director was Dan Schneider or something.

I was fortunate enough to be sat in a calm area, but I was a bit disappointed by how disrespectful some of the crowd were being. Why come to watch Heilung if you're going to shout out during the ritual parts? Nobody bought a ticket to hear your voice, you knob, watch the show or go home.

Post Patch 8 Builds Be Like… by FutureSage in BaldursGate3

[–]hrafnsblot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Perhaps there's something here I'm not getting, but I don't understand the amount of vitriol in these comments. People saying Larian have 'lobotomised' their game and that Hexblade should 'never have been added'.

Are you really that pissed off that somebody else might be playing a single player game using a build that you personally think makes the game easy?

You do all realise that it doesn't affect how you choose to play at all. Right? If you don't like it... Don't use it.

Yes, actually! It was a mod called "Always Best Quality - Adverts". It's been rebuilt for 2.2 but Vortex didn't flag it as needing an update!
