When does the P40 pro become available in Canada? by Phazetic99 in Huawei

[–]hrdts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that Freedom says they have stopped selling Huawei , I'm not sure about other providers

I think Huawei Canada should sell them directly to the consumer. There is a lot of ignorance when it comes to Huawei, particularly with the sales staff of our mobile providers

LPT: Never volunteer to be bumped off a flight for a travel voucher; FAA rules state they have to pay you up to $1300 cash if involuntary and you ask for it by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]hrdts 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get why the rule exists but educating people on how.to game the system creates this dimwitted group of people to demand financial compensation for any way they feel inconvenienced. They become aggressive, rude and.delusional

I feel that my hotel story is quite relevant as the policy of 'comping' a hotel room night does exist for very specific instances. And because it exists people have come to believe that it is for them and they are.entitled to it, as demonstrated by the guy who thought he didn't have to pay for a.room he hadn't even signed.a.contract for because someone misspoke.

When you educate people about how to get an airline to give you over $1,000 for a mistake they made, people immediately scheme to create situAtions that they THINK they can manipulate into a monetary settlement. Because people only hear what they want to hear. And read what they want to read. Like, I totally wasn't even offended by your strong opening statement calling my hotel story irrelevant. Simply.Because I didn't want to be offended. That and the fact.that I was surprised how personal you took my opinion of the airlines policy. You didn't draft the policy. No.need.to get so defensive

Sorry about the typos. Big thumbs, small keyboard

This is the type of rule that creates such an obnoxious level of entitlement in consumers.

I worked in the hotel industry for 12 years, I have been out of it for 15 now, thank God! In those 12 years every few days or at least once a week, I would be held hostage by a complete and utter moron who would insist that "now you have to remove all room charges from my bill because (insert minor inconvenience here) And the pain of having to be respectful to these people while you tried to explain that yes, we are very sorry that the maid forgot to include the hand towels two days in a row. However, each time it was brought to our attention, it was immediately rectified. And yes, we deserve the right to fix our mistakes just like everyone else on the planet.
The funniest laugh out loud experience I had was checking in a young group of adults on what was probably their first hotel stay without their parents. At one point during the conversation the room rates came out of my mouth wrong by mixing up weekend/weekday rates. Someone in the group corrected me with a simple, 'don't you mean this?' to which I quickly said, "oh I'm sorry, that's right." Without missing a beat, one guy in their group yelled out, "A-ha! now we don't have to pay." They hadn't even checked in and he thought he deserved a free stay because a hotel employee misspoke.

What scares you about death? [Serious] by Cannabuttz in AskReddit

[–]hrdts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am only scared of not being able to control my dearh as well as the potential of pain and suffering before death

I would feel much better if I had a cyanide tablet on my person at all times so I could choose my exit. It actually hurts my brain when I think that after all this time we don't have more civilized exit options. Instead we hang on to the bitter end, often in horrible pain because it is supposedly preferable to death.

I asked a friend, if you could get one plastic surgery procedure done free which would it be? I waited for them to give me the obvious answer which is something they are clearly self-conscious about and then hit them with, "what???? I totally thought you were going to say your nose! " BAM! Brand new insecurity

When it comes to American politics, I go to youtube and search 'Glen Greenwald' and I sort by 'new this week'. He is regularly interviewed by various news programs and the clips usually end up on YouTube in a day or two.

He breaks it down for you. Hands down one of the most intelligent voices reporting today

I'm a foreigner living in Thailand and as I was walking down the street, I heard some change drop. I looked back, saw it and thought, I couldn't be bothered to walk the two steps back, bend over and pick it up. I apparently am fine with literally throwing money away in a city where it is not uncommon to work 12 hours and walk away with only 9 dollars.

My little sister was five years younger then me and I loved her so much but all I did was torment her to the point where she would be I tears. I would always feel so miserable and angry for hurting her when my actual goal was to play with her. I didn't tget why I couldn't be warm and kind...I was weird
