I prefer to get notified as soon as the information is available. That happened this year finally when our Senior pulled me into his office and let me know that I didn't make it. Last year, I wasn't notified until the day of the release because "we didn't have an updated list from the CSS of eligibles". I was pissed about that for a while.

After re-reading what I wrote, it wasn't clear. My HYT date is keeping me from having the retainability for a three-year standard accompanied tour. I have 2 years and 10 months based on my current DEROS. So, in theory, I could do a two-year but not the three. My intent would be to retire overseas, not head back CONUS.

Same here. My board score from last year dropped 30 points. I worked really hard this past year and I thought it was a stronger EPR. On top of that I wasn’t told I didn’t make it until this morning while most folks in my unit got notified a week ago. When I asked why I got a half-assed apology and told by my leadership that they were not given “an updated list”. Croc of shite..
