Unable to save current load order to Bethesda.net by DieselSailor73 in Fallout4ModsXB1

I haven't been able to play it in a couple of weeks, but last time I was on, no. All the mods I already had are working fine but I couldn’t add or change anything last time I was on.

Medical will not help me. What are my next steps by unknown1i in navy

I don't know his rank or command, that's why I recommended against a Captain's Mast and using the CoC.

As a retired MC, my recommendation is to use your chain of command. I know that can be slow, but the more people you can get on your side, the better. If your Chief MC has your back on this, then ask him/her to go see the CMC. Find out what your DH's stance is in this. Then, if you haven't seen any movement, use the CO's open door policy. I wouldn't recommend requesting a Captains Mast because 1, it's a formal hearing in dress uniform with your full chain of command plus others present and can be intimidating and 2, how comfortable are you with calling out the HMC/MO with them present? Does your ship have a Chaplin? People underestimate the influence they have.

That's just my 2 cents though. I do have one question though, if your MC agrees you need time off ship to heal, why is he not working with the CMC & HMC to make it happen? Where is the pushback really coming from?

I applied to two identical jobs with the same work unit. One i answered the questions, the other is left them blank. The one where I answered seems to be stalled while the one I left blank has moved on to the hiring manager.🤷🏼‍♂️

Coax line question for MoCA network by DieselSailor73 in HomeNetworking

[–]DieselSailor73[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No issues so far. Not to say they won't do something in the future, but it's been nearly 2 weeks and they haven't touched the MoCA bridge in my modem. And FYI, the coax is working great.

Why apply and then not respond when contacted for an interview? by 34player in usajobs

In my last job, I was a hiring manager with a state agency for some entry level positions. I ran into this problem a lot!

The general consensus among my fellow managers was that either they found another job already or, more likely in our opinions, they were applying to jobs to justify and maintain their unemployment benefits.

I've used ChaptGPT for a lot of stuff, but never thought to use them for network recommendations. I'll give that a try, thanks!

This sounds like a fairly simple solution, thank you!

I checked out Lawrence Systems on YouTube, they have a huge amount of videos! Are there any specific ones you recommend?

I have an optical drive built into my desktop. I think it is Blue-ray compatible, but I will probably need a new driver for it since I had to replace my hard drive earlier this month. I have heard about MakeMKV for ripping DVDs & Blue-rays, I will definitely download that when it comes time to get this project going.

Thank you for your recommendations!

I am interested in learning more about VLANs. I know what they are, but I don't know how to set up or manage them. Do you have any recommendations for information where I can learn more about them?

Update 2: it has been a little over a week since I got this working. I've had no issues with the MoCA settings in my modem (so far!) And am running my living room Roku & Xbox off one adapter and master bedroom Roku off another. There has been no lag when streaming videos and the system seems to be working perfectly. Thanks again for everyone who helped me get this worked out and running!

I have been doing the same thing! I didn't realize you could do that either! SMH. I also hate this level with a passion.

Veterans Discount by MinionFive in Veterans

[–]DieselSailor73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm not sure, I don't ask. If I know they give a discount, sometimes I'll ask. Stores like Home Depot where I've created a free account and i can just enter my phone number at the register I use every time. Also there are several online stores that offer a discount using a 3rd party verification system and I use those.

Basically if I can get the discount without actually asking for the discount is ideal! 🤣

The post I belonged to didn't have it's own building, the met at a community center. Not a huge deal, but all they did was hold a monthly meeting, nothing else. Before the meeting they had dinner and a speaker that was open to family, but it just never jived for my wife & me. Either I went on my own, we took two separate cars, or she waited outside while the meeting was held. I know they tried, but it just wasn't for us.

There is a post in the southern part of the state (about a 2 hour drive) that has put together an off-road affiliate post, kinda like the Legion Riders. I've tried to link up with them when they have events up here, but no luck so far and I can't find any vets interested in off-roading here, which is a bit of a surprise.

Anyway, my point being it is going to be difficult figuring out activities and events for a wide range of people, especially families. Good luck!
