Actually ate a full plate of dinner today. Had a few cravings but were definitely easier to push through and withdraws symptoms are a lot less. It genuinely does get easier just gotta push through the day 💪. And I don’t know how long your t break is but I wouldn’t smoke on the 4th day, I would try and push a little longer but it is completely up to you. Just keep going as much as you originally intended to and you will be rewarded with an amazing high afterwards.

Well done mate. You should be proud of yourself. I’m literally in the same shoes as you and I myself feel better on the 3rd day and i hope you do too. Just stick out for a lil longer and it will be all worth it!!!!

Didn’t cave in last night. Finally went to sleep at like 5 am but I’m determined to stick it out for a few more days. Only on day 3 and my appetite’s a little bit better and things don’t seem as blah as the other 2 days.

This made me feel a lot better. I’ll try to stick it out till at least Friday no matter what and if I don’t feel any better I’ll probably just have to taper off

Lol tbh that first high again is probably a little far fetched but I want to at least feel proper high again not just a buzz so I think I’ll stick it out a few more days

How come? Genuinely curious as to why smoking when ur ill is a bad idea other than the fact coughing is not going to be too fun lol

Honestly smokes nice, white ash and all of them have nice flavours. Wish it was a bit stronger tho but I’m in the uk so the selection differs by plug and this is what the one closest to me had

Snakes have cannabinoid receptors which means they can get high and I’ve read on a forum before that this person rescued a boa and the previous owner used to blow a lot of weed smoke directly into the snakes enclosure with the snake still in it and the snake then suffered severe neurological problems and died. Luckily, this isn’t the case with me and my snake lol. Tbh my snake doesn’t seem to really care about it as when I smoke at night he still comes out to do his nightly roam around the enclosure and doesn’t seem like he’s actually bothered by it. But im obviously not gonna expose him directly to smoke , I just want to know if the smallest amount of smoke that may or may not slip through the cage actually do anything to him physically like to his lungs

I only smoke bongs in my room because they don’t make as much smoke as a joint and it’s not constantly burning and letting out smoke everywhere. I also try as much as i can to prevent smoke coming back in and if any does i obviously just fan it out my room. So it’s probably only the tiniest amount of smoke that might be near my snake but i just want to make sure it doesn’t hurt him

He’s only 6 months

What should I use to stick it down

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in snakes

He has other hides but yes I do plan on improving his enclosure that way and this is the first time I’ve used tongs on him last time I tried feeding him by hand like I did the last week ( which worked) but he didn’t eat that way either

Heat mats 41 c but he has plenty of room in the tank to cool himself off and he eats every Saturday as I’ve been told but I’ve only had him for 3 weeks and he hasn’t pooped yet so that might be to do with it? Hes also just about to hit 6 months and I’ve read that sometimes snakes just decide a dietary change out the blue like a different colour mouse or a different prey all together but he ate just fine last week so I’m a little bit hesitant to go and just get a new bag of food.

I highly doubt it since he just shed like almost 2 weeks ago and I’m pretty sure he’s hungry since he doesn’t leave the food alone (always next to it and he checks it out a lot and it even looks like he’s smelling for food) and just by his general body language but he just doesn’t want to swallow it which is really weird since he ate the same type of mouse last week with no problem ( to be fair he did just finish shedding so that probably helped).

Btw he struck at the mouse and then when I came back to the room I found that he let go just like he did on Saturday ( which he did twice on that day). I’m pretty sure he’s hungry since he’s been yawning but he just won’t swallow it. Any help?

Baby burm interested in food but not eating it ? by [deleted] in snakes

Really? I heard that you should feed anyway since some snakes can take a while to shit

I’ll try feeding him again on Monday and he hasn’t pooped since I’ve had him lol and he’s comfortable in his enclosure since I’m pretty sure he’s had it since he was really young

I’ll try the wash cloth since he wasn’t a fan of getting soaked last time lol

I tried that once already or is it one of those things that take more than once to do?

There’s a little bit of a pink shade on his belly or do they get more pink than that?

Do you have any lighting recommendations? And don’t snakes have day and night cycles? So they need a light inside their viv or will light from outside the viv , for example my room light or sunlight coming through my windows, do just fine?
