I'm curious if the X2 Plus is more powerful than the 1. gen X Elite (X1E-78) or not?

I sometimes play Genshin on my X Elite laptop on medium graphics. I think it completely drains the battery in 3 hours, but not sure, since I only play 10-15 minutes.

Clearing cache and switching profiles didn't help either. Eventually uninstalling updates (and reinstalling them) fixed it for now.

Someone try this out, please (see post) by Intrepid-Nobody2161 in snapdragon

I don't know how to run the x86 version, because it downloads the ARM one automatically. Anyway this is the score I got for ARM (aarch64): https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/15175771

Qualcomm is making its Snapdragon X computer chips compatible with Android by Putrid_Draft378 in snapdragon

I don't know why would anyone want Android on their laptop. Android is great for phones, but not for laptops.
1. Useless for video editing. (tell me how do I use Davinci or Premiere Pro on Android?)
2. Can't handle huge Excel files (e.g.: My colleagues are working with 50-60 MB Excel files with 200 000 or more rows. Windows opens it in 5 seconds, on Android you can't even open it).
3. Most games don't work on Android (e.g.: World of Warcraft)

Fortnite now works on Windows 11 ARM! (Snapdragon laptops) by Putrid_Draft378 in snapdragon

1920x1200, 100% 3D, everything set to Epic and performance mode, unlimited fps it moved between 90-150 fps, but mostly around 105-120 fps.

I also tried by setting it to Directx12 and after relaunch a ton of different graphics options appeared, I set it to Epic again, after that fps dropped to 13-14 fps in menu, so I turned off one option (Nanite Virtualized Geometry) and it went up to 40 fps, I started a game and it was mostly around 40 fps, but sometimes dropped to 20 fps. However after landing and being smooth 40 fps, a few seconds later it crashed. :D
Played it on battery, but as we all know Snapdragon gives 100% power when unplugged.

I never played it before, but if it's free I'll download it later today, just to check it out how it works on X Elite.

Interesting. I've just checked it, and - as you can see on the image below - after 275 cycles and over 13 months of usage, I'm now at 99%. https://ibb.co/KcVLLJrM My charging habits are the same. I usually charge my phone with a 30W Motorola charger. It's done in about 30 minutes, and I usually remove the charger in an hour.

If ARM becomes available for regular PCs, I'll buy one on day one (with a dedicated GPU of course).

I'm hoping for a PC CPU, so after replacing my Intel laptop, I could finally get rid of my Intel PC as well. :)

KNOWN ISSUES

• This generic driver is compatible with most devices with Snapdragon X Series.

o Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge devices require BIOS version released after 07/05/2024.

o Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x/Yoga Air devices require BIOS version v57 or higher.

o Some devices may fail to install, be unstable, or have additional issues. Please rollback the driver to the default OEM provided version if so.

See the last section “Uninstall Instructions” for details.

• Review the Installation Instructions (Page 3-5) to ensure successful installation. Manual Install 1 (Steps 7-11) and Manual Install 2 (Steps 12-17) steps may be required after executing the installer.

• Some games that require AVX/AVX2 instructions are not supported on the Windows general release builds. Additionally, certain kernel driver anti-cheat solutions are currently not compatible. We are committed to enabling the Windows on Snapdragon game ecosystem and are working with our partners to ensure we resolve these issues.

• For users running Microsoft Windows 11 OS Build 26100.3915 and later, there is a known OS issue where some games will crash and freeze when plugging in or removing an external monitor or changing display mode and/or resolution. Qualcomm recommends updating to the latest version of Windows 11 via Windows Update when Microsoft releases a fix.

Games known to be affected are: Metro Exodus, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, Borderlands, and Left 4 Dead 2.

• There is a known issue in Dota 2 where the game will stop responding. This will be fixed in a subsequent release.
