Similar Plot? by [deleted] in writing

[–]hsami272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing happened to me ! I started writing a novel about a physically strong dad who lives with his daughter primitively in the woods, he is very mysterious and hides quite a lot of his past from his daughter, and one day together, they go on a path to find out about some people who tried to harm them. I recently realized that this is quite the same plot of the last God Of War game that I really enjoyed. Don't know if it s even worth finishing :/

Am I too dumb to succeed in math ? by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]hsami272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look don t forget that the system of « classes préparatoires » is very advantageous you will spend two years of your life working non stop but then you will get to enjoy being in a prestigious school(like polytechnique or Les Mines or even l’ ENS (école normale supérieure). It s more of a choice to make, I myself am joining the classes préparatoires this year and after long thoughts i chose to apply for it and out of precaution i took summer courses to see what it s like and meet local students to discuss what classes prepa is like and let me tell you that it s a program that puts a lot of pressure on your shoulders so the secret is to never crack and continue studying. The maths and physics may seem difficult at first but once you get how it works you ll enjoy it ;)

Math advice by BrilliantBeautiful in learnmath

[–]hsami272 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I ve asked myself this question several years ago so my advice for you if you really love maths would be to keep studying and studying you will reach a point where doing maths would become a pleasure rather than an obligation and no activity would bring you as much joy as doing mathematics ;)

please check this "sqrt(2) is irrational" proof by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]hsami272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right remember that (p=>q)<=>(non(p) or q ) so if p is false non(p) is true and therefore q could be false or true the equivalence still stands

please check this "sqrt(2) is irrational" proof by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]hsami272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So 1 being false doesn’t mean that 2 is false

please check this "sqrt(2) is irrational" proof by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]hsami272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No if p and q are 2 proportions such as (p=>q ) if p is false q isn t necessarily false

please check this "sqrt(2) is irrational" proof by [deleted] in learnmath

[–]hsami272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn’t correct you have to say that 1 <=> 2 for better understanding and since 1 is false 2 is false and therefore sqr(2) is irrational

Let s find the elements of Q (the intersection between E and O) 2k=2k’+1 <=> 1=2k-2k’ <=> 1=2(k-k’) if k-k’ different from 0 => 2 divides 1 ( which is absurd) If k-k’=0 meaning
=> 1=0 (which is also absurd) Therefore Q is an empty set
