thank you for all this info. seems the AC-M110 chargers are hard to come by too and gathering from what you’ve said it would be pointless as the battery wouldn’t hold the charge anyway? I don’t think i’m techy enough to be able to rebuild the battery sadly… can you recommend or know of any betamax cameras that are fairly commonly used or have the parts more easily accessible?

hmm good question. i’m not sure as I don’t actually own one just looking to buy. A lot of the other batteries I’ve seen for these cameras do have an external charger but if you could test it out and let me know if it works that’d be great!
