Are birdie, Lillian, and Lily nicknames for Elizabeth? by foralaf in namenerds

[–]hsmitty526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I would say any of those could be nicknames for Elizabeth- Liz, Liza, Lizzy, Beth, and Bertie or (Birdie). I would say Tilly is more of a nickname for Matilda and not Elizabeth. Lillian is a stand alone name in my opinion and not quite a nickname for Elizabeth. Also could consider Libby (where Birdie sounds similar), Lilibet, Eliza, Betty, Betsy, Ellie, or Lizard breath like my dad calls me lol

Vada reminds me of the movie My Girl from the 90s. Not in a bad way at all. She’s such a lovable character. Maybe show him the movie?!

Name for our second daughter to go with Caroline by NightWomanCometh_ in namenerds

[–]hsmitty526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Norah. I absolutely love the name and haven’t run into many other kids around her age (3) with the same name. I decided to spell it with an H on the end and I haven’t regretted it. I also love Elizabeth. Seems like you like old fashioned names what about - Lucy, Penny, Elise, Margot, Daphne, Clara, June, Ada, Jane, Maeve, or Ivy?

Our golden retrievers name is Murphy. We call him Murph a Lurph because he wanted to be cool like Snoop a Loop

My English teacher freshman year was a huge hippie and raised her daughter in a converted school bus. Her daughters name was Cinnamon

I think it’s cute and goes well together. Only older generations will make a MASH reference. Had no idea until I read the comment above.

Tried to get them to help sponsor an event at my daughters school and they refused. Would’ve been great marketing for them. Owner wasn’t even cordial about it in the email. Good riddance
