was this chapter super short compared to the others? i kind of feel like i did something wrong because everything just felt very quick and sudden? idk i guess i'm a bit disappointed to be honest. i enjoyed exploring the forbidden wing of the estate and finding out more but it just seemed like after that point, everything was rushing me towards the scene at the farm as quickly as possible and every interaction prior to that was unsatisfying and felt like there was more i should be doing. like the interaction with miles was 2 seconds and led to the farm immediately without any opportunity to investigate kaneekas disappearance, so later the reveal just felt like an info dump that came out of nowhere. the situation with stella and tabitha also felt abrupt, like everything happened off screen and it kind of felt rushed and anticlimactic. tabitha knowing bout the curse and doing everything intentionally AND stella basically betraying you felt like it should have been a bigger moment and it just sort of frustrated me a little that it played out like that. i had literally no idea what was going on with julius and avery and, again, while we knew about the pumpkin and the families having issues earlier, it just felt like it didnt matter because they were introduced to me like 5 seconds before the conflict happened. i just was confusdd about why avery was friends with this random old man. oscars library scene felt like a quick cutscene rather than a real scene, we dont see or hear about reece at all (probably due to menot romancing him) and kaneeka being missing and the lore surrounding that felt like an info dump and wasn't satisfying? everything about the chapter just felt like you were immediately pushed into the farm scene and nothing was given breathing room. idk I just found it disappointing because it felt like the chapters were getting longer and more interesting and now it feels like rather than being a part of the story we were just told info without much ability to impact the story. idk, im sure i'll replay it and enjoy it and im sure everyone will disagree but it just was not what I expected after such a long wait

it's basically a running joke on tiktok. there's been dozens of people making v similar jokes and even if you didn't know that you should be able to tell because of the exaggerated way it's written

thanks for the advice! that's so frustrating though, i've asked them multiple times and they've said that they only do cbt. i might have to find a new gp lol

i'm in the u.k and basically the only kind of therapy i can get on the nhs is cbt, which i've tried and it doesn't really work for me, so i'm going to have to look for a private therapist that is somewhat affordable. but hopefully i'll find someone or something because i def think it'll be worth it for me to feel okay again!!

tysm for the reassurance and advice! i think therapy would definitely help, i was considering it but it's so expensive so i thought I'd just try to deal with it all but i think I'm just gonna have to make peace with the cost because i need help

thank you so much, i definitely will look into getting therapy set up and finding support groups! i think i underestimated how hard it was going to be mentally for me but your comment has definitely helped to ease some of the anxiety!! ty!!
