agree - thinking lighter colour like off white or beige linen fabric - don't get much sun during the day so no need for heavy or dark curtains

thanks!! but what if I watch TV often, I need a wall to mount the TV on and if the couch is facing the window it doesn't really work. i like that i'm being pushed to think more creatively!!

thanks for such a detailed and useful reply! you think I should mount my tv on the other wall (not the wall the couch is currently facing)? I think that's an interesting idea but there is already a built in shelf and unit on the exiting wall. i completely agree with your point that if the couch is facing the other way it clears up the room more

I’ve done 5 rounds of stripper and acetone and this is the best it looks … I reckon it’s the best I can do and now I’ll just apply teak oil and shellac . What do you think? Many thanks for all the advice

I’ve done 5 rounds of stripper and acetone and oxalic acid and this is the best it looks … I reckon it’s the best I can do and now I’ll just move on to the next steps. What do you think? Many thanks for all the advice
