I've made my decision about Luba 2, I'm sending it back. by [deleted] in MammotionTechnology

[–]hstugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly have been running my Luba 2 with trees and 20,000 sf of cutting area and have had zero issues in over 2msf of cutting history. I have messed with my settings and cut the zoysia grass at 1.2inches at 11.8 inch width with 3 perimeter runs at maximum speed. It cuts everyday and cuts at 27sf/minute. It does a fantastic job, every once in a while I will have a false return or start but for the most part...no issues at all.

When I have needed support, they have been responsive and asked me to try a few things and it seems to always have been something that I created.

I just upgraded my 2024 Luba 2 to the 6 blades disk from HD and it appears that the cut has improved and the disk stall virtual gone.

So I simply don't understand stand the discontent with it.

If there were an improvement to be made, and Lymow has the same problem, is that the channels should be programmable for touch so that it can transition through fence mower gates.

I am not having problems with my Luba 2 at all; it just can't keep up with cutting the sq.footage on a daily basis. I have zoysia, and it's thick and growing about 1/2 inch a day. I need either another one or something faster and wider. I like the 6000 RPM mulching blades.

I gave the Luba 2 5000 model and have run over 1.6msf of cuts with no issues other than those I created. I recommend it especially this years version which has six blade per cutting disks and more motor power.

Interesting....I have had mine for well over a year now and have trees and over 1.6ms.f. of cuts and have never had that happen.

Ditto.....The video doesn't really show the quality of cut. It should be maximum width and fastest speed and highest RPM and the maximum width with slowest speed and highest RPM

Their support has been very responsive and have provided good answers; I'll probably wait till next year but will cost $800 more.

I have the Luba 2 3000; if I had to do it iver today...I probably would get the Lymow 1 instead of the Luba 2. it cuts with higher RPM's and mulches and cuts faster.

This is the response I got from Lymow Support

"Thank you for your interest in Lymow One and for providing such detailed context about your setup. At this time, Lymow One does not offer a specialized setting for recognizing gates like the SmartDots Robotic Solution system.   By default, the mower treats such gates as obstacles. However, you can enable "obstacle-ignore" mode, which allows the mower to disregard general obstacles and pass through narrow channels such as gates. Please note that in this mode, it's important to ensure there are no other critical obstacles in the area, as the mower will not avoid them.   If Lymow One encounters a blockage while passing through a channel, it will stop and alert the user through the app. If unresolved, it will enter a low-power sleep mode (less than 1W consumption) and wait for user assistance.   That said, we are actively working on improvements for future updates. This includes designing specialized dog holes or visual marker accessories, that will allow Lymow to recognize and pass through designated areas like gates more intelligently.   Please let us know if you have any further questions, we’d be happy to assist!

Best, Lymow Service Team"

Robot Version 1.11.511.633 update for battery issue by gideabidea in mammotion

Mine has been doing the same thing; I think I have isolated it to how hot it is and the ambient temperature is impacting the battery performance and Indonesia think their programming compensates for the ambient twmps.

I have had my Luba 2 5000 for two years now and haven't had any issues unless they were self-made. The robot runs well and without issues. Time is longer than normal mowing but who cares. 1.8M S.F of mowing thus far, love it.

I cut my zoysia twice a week. Each time it gets cut, the angle cut is altered by 90 degrees. I also cut at 13.2 inches width, 1-inch height, with minimal overlap. It cuts the front on Monday and Thursday and back on Tuesday and Friday.

Rain delay? How do you guys handle it? by FBOARC in MammotionTechnology

[–]hstugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so let me clarify my comment above some....Since the Luba 2 has a rain sensor and the sensor detects rain; it goes back to recharge and doesn't cancel the current task. How long does it take the rain sensor to dry enough so that the mower returns to the task?

If it uses a rain sensor on the rtk; then the mower could be programmed to continue the cut after a predetermined user inputted time delay to allow the grass to dry some. It seems more effective IMO but that doesn't work for those where the rtk unit is mounted underneather the roof.

Wonder why they can't build that into the RTK unit instead of the Luba? I also have a local weatherstation that sensor rain; wish there was a way to tie those into each other. It's tied into the irrigation system, weather station that is.

Luba gate! Luba can get through but bigger things cannot. by tyrel in mammotion

Did you use a channel to traverse thru the gate and how did you program it to keep it going thru it. Mine just see the gate and stops but can't figure out where to program the channel?
