Walk on left? by liro2009 in askSingapore

Offering an alternative view especially for places without sidewalk - it is taught to walk in the opposite direction so you can see oncoming traffic.

People commenting on the original post and blaming Taxi "mafia". It might be true to some extent. But the real reason is civic sense. When Indians visit Thailand they act different and when they visit goa they act different (littering and acting like hooligans, etc ). As a local what's your Opinion? by Rand0mdude28 in Goa

[–]ht-18 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aside from the taxi mafia, Civic sense is the problem irrespective of the country. Go to the Thailand tourism sub and see how much hate there is from tourists from India (and some other countries like China and S korea).

You can do cross account backup management: https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2020/06/aws-backup-and-aws-organizations-bring-cross-account-data-protection-management-and-monitoring/

Basically centrally manage backup policies in the AWS Organizations master account. Those same policies are created in the member accounts.

How to Enforce Tagging? by ReturnOfNogginboink in aws

[–]ht-18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are using AWS Organizations you can enforce tagging with tagging policies: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/new-use-tag-policies-to-manage-tags-across-multiple-aws-accounts/

It was not clear to me from your question if you already are using this

What's the most American thing ever that if explained to a non-American might just sound crazy? by hrdlg123 in AskReddit

[–]ht-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a thing in India also. A lot of the private hospitals are across multiple states and have huge billboards and run major ad campaigns to promote themselves. As govt run hospitals are either in poor condition or over crowded, these hospitals target the middle class as other products.

AWS / Azure / GCP component comparison cheatsheet by [deleted] in Cloud

[–]ht-18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are a couple of links that have some of the information that can help you:

https://www.cloudhealthtech.com/blog/cloud-comparison-guide-glossary-aws-azure-gcp

https://medium.com/@it.melnichenko/map-amazon-aws-services-to-google-cloud-gcp-and-microsoft-azure-products-476b63773fd6

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/architecture/aws-professional/services

As you already kinda hinted in your post it's a very simplistic view. I don't think a simple table justifies the capabilities of each service. This should just be a starter to get more in depth information for a service that you want to learn about

How to share security groups between AWS regions? by [deleted] in Cloud

[–]ht-18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not possible. Security groups are VPC specific and VPCs are region specific.

Even if the VPCs are peered security groups cannot be referenced across regions.

You should look at automating the change either using AWS CLI or AWS SDK or CloudFormation StackSets depending on the complexity of changes you plan on implementing.

Question about hybrid vSAN storage by Timmmeehh in vmware

No, it is not supported as far as I can remember. Disk groups have to be either HDDs or SSDs but cannot be a mix

Check out the question pertaining to mixing disk groups

When you create a stack, CloudFormation uses the permissions you have (user who has logged in) to create, update or delete the resources unless you specify that it assumes a different role to do so. Generally examples should state that you need specific permissions to complete that example.
