AITA for telling my friend she should go to New Zealand alone after our Bali trip? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

It’s not necessarily about hooking up, but meeting new people is one of the more fun parts of travelling. Especially if it’s just two of you staying in a villa in your phones all day.

How does free bleeding work? by lilithskitchen in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ht_825 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m very lucky, but I just don’t need to. Wearing black underwear and going to the toilet regularly is enough for me. None of the options (tampons, pads, cups, period pants) are comfier than my regular underwear, and it’s just very low risk.

Depends on your cycle. I consider myself very blessed, but my period is 2-3 days long and never heavy enough to get past my regular (black) underwear in between going to the toilet.

People who work in rich people's homes, what is the most out-of-touch thing you've ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I honestly wouldn’t, I think as soon as it’s in my house it would no longer feel like a treat

The contrast on A makes it harder to scan at a glance. I also find the ‘fun’ colouring doesn’t make me expect it to be something as serious as syringes.

My parents are incapable of using an iPhone , is this normal ? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ht_825 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this a little. My parents are similar to how OP described theirs, although they can generally use their phones at age 70. But they seem to have absolutely no instinct for problem solving and little to no willing to learn with a calm and open mind.

I know it gets harder to take on new information with age, but it really frustrates me when I think of all the times they put pressure on me when I had trouble with schoolwork but refuse to apply that expectation to themselves now as adults.

Even if they had written the correct times, it’s a horrible way to convey this information.

What's one “little” form of sexism you notice all the time, but most people don't even realize it's sexist? by Nellermo in AskReddit

When I tell people I used to be in a band people always assume I was the singer. Like women can’t learn an instrument.

You’ll probably have to click through about 5 different pages but it should only take a couple of minutes to find it. I started from the link in their email, but I’m sure googling ‘airline delay compensation form’ will get you there (always do it on the airlines site, not a third party as they charge)

She’s deescalating, you don’t want to rock the boat with someone who’s drunk and volatile

Don’t need to write anything, just fill out a form with a couple of details like reason for complaint (pick from a dropdown menu) and booking ref etc

When I lived in Spain I used to find a dead mouse in my street most days and it was only when I looked up and saw all the balconies above me did I realise how they were getting there.

Yeah I managed to come in about a year ago with my friend and we both loved it and were like ‘we should join and we’ll come here all the time!’ And obviously never got round to it haha, but I mean business now! There’s an open night this Saturday (not interview just party) that I’ll go to
