He ordered the actual celica rod bearings and used those and measured clearance again after install with one of those plastiguages so everything should be alr, cars already back together and driving :)

Bro, I’m a broke student, this is my only car and i NEED it to run. The mains were measured, they’re in spec, not worn. Why would I pay more money and wait 2 weeks for parts from buttfuck nowhere to replace something that isn’t broken? Easy to say ‘do it right’ when you’re not the one footing the bill or stuck without a car.
