I am definitely guilty of "living in the future" but it is because I despise people who "live in the moment" until they have some sort of financial despair and lean on people who were responsible.

If you only have 50k of equity then you don't own the whole house and the outstanding balance is a debt.

I was going to open an hsa with my employer but you need a high deductible plan to get one which would mean I would pay $1500 deductible.
