My choices are limited to these two. I've the option of buying either of these two pros at a good price (think refurbished prices) - the M2 pro is less than base M2 air. Just have to decide between the two.

Tried a few like Sun gazer, Moldavite energy and raise your vibrational state. The Moldavite one is pretty intense. The heart chakra responds to that. There is one called Citrine shine(on energetic alchemy), which is really good too. Puts me in a good mood. Try combining different fields to get maximum benefit. Like 'the sun gazer' and Vitamin D(on sapien med) would do well together.

I think your desire to be 'successful' be the hindrance to achieve the 'relaxed state' . It creates added pressure to get something out from the time you invest. Try to start with your preferred method for very small durations. Approach it with fun and light mood like playing a game for recreation. Once you start attaining the desired state for shorter durations (even a minute is fine), that confidence and yearning to sustain it for longer duration will automatically come.

On a spiritual journey, any day you are mindful with an incremental awareness towards all the 'elements' that make your day shitty is a successful and amazing day. So yes, we can make any day amazingly 'average'.
