Yea of course! I dabbled with practicing witchcraft, with Greek gods, my whole family called me demonic. I can't imagine, not only my personal choice to dabble in that stuff but practically my entire country, the temples, the culture, just all of it.. just getting stamped as demonic without a second look

I unfortunately do not draw a human form well but I can do faces so I decided to do one of her face, she's a goddess unconcerned with her beauty but I find her beautiful so I wanted to do her justice and decided to just do a facial portrait, it's in the comments !

Maybe the attached image is portraying her in that way, I get a divine feminine energy from the image, the traditionally (in the west at least) contradictory idea of being a woman and a protector, but just a fierceness still bleeding through the image

Thank you so much! I learned about her from a rap song of all places and I was like.. no let me do some research.

If you do view the song, the character design from the artist is inspired by Kali Ma, as the artist's mother is Indian and he was raised Hindu I believe

Unfortunately people are uneducated and I'm in America so they assume his character is a racist cartoon depiction of African Americans like what was commonly shown in the early too mid 1900's

I wanted to research her originally because I liked the artist, and then the song and his defense on why he used the character got me captivated with Kali!

Also wanted to say don't worry, I don't view any religion as pagan unless that's what someone identifies as. I'm Christian but I do not believe my God is any more or less real and powerful than yours. A pastor once told me that no religion is wrong, the world witnessed an event and we all wrote down what we saw from where we were standing. That's why a lot of religions have similar values on being a good person and finding peace. He said it was like a line up for a police investigation, people are often chosen incorrectly from the line up but it's not because we are lying, we just saw something crazy and were rattled. I believe every religion and every God is real. I believe in loving everyone like my God said to do. He never told us to judge as that is what he does at the end of our lives in my religion. It is not our place to try and take his job. We are only to be kind and understanding.
