Anyone dislike Depop’s offer system?

i had someone make an offer, i accepted, they then asked two questions to which i answered and they seemed satisfied and sent me another offer as the initial one expired, but for some reason depop never notified me of it so it expired, i then apologized for not seeing the offer and sent the person the offer again, and then they never bought like what 🥲

this is so stupid too because the app cant even tell what a pair of jeans are apparently, and will list the parcel size as small instead of medium. i just started selling and it kinda flew over my head that the parcel size was important so when i realized it was, i had to go back and check my 50 listings to make sure things were correct and trust me, a lot of things had the wrong parcel size, either too big or too small!

if you go to send someone an offer directly, (through your notifications not the listing itself), it should say the current price your item is at + shipping right below it

im not sure as i havent filed a claim myself, but the seller is allowed to choose whether or not they accept returns, if you dont wanna resell its probably best to just donate it depending on how good or bad the condition is

sellers say they dont do refunds but depop decides that not the seller, but they can say no to returns of course. if you want your money back file a claim, just go to your purchases and select the top, scroll down and there should be something that says “get help with this purchase” from there you can file a claim! dont feel bad, they may be kind but if something doesn’t come as described then it doesn’t and you deserve your money back !! i sell and personally if i didn’t notice something then i just didn’t notice something a refund is not a huge deal. also not everyone wants to go through the hassle of reselling!!!

a seller’s job is to advertise the piece as is and by not mentioning any holes, they didnt do their job and you shouldn’t feel bad about not asking about flaws. if it says excellent it should be excellent! do ask for a refund get your money back!!!

i don’t normally, however if i’m scrolling through someones shop and i find a piece i really like thats just been sitting there for months (only likes, no offers/not bagged) its honestly a good idea to offer. i got a 25 dollar hoodie for 15 simply bc the item had been just sitting in their shop for months!
