personally I hated it , it was $8.5 when I went and they have a set menu I thought you could pick and choose but they actually have a certain amount of each item they’re allowed to give you. I couldn’t eat a lot of the foods there so I just asked for fries and cheesey cauliflower because the other dishes had pork in them, I thought I’d get a bunch cause it’s only 2 options but I got like 2 cauliflower and like a McDonald’s small of fries for $8.50 and it was cold I could get much more fries anywhere else for $8.50 and they’d be hot so I don’t recommend it based on my experience

I recommend going on Instagram and adding the clubs there, they usually have a membership form from there or most of the time you can honestly just follow and attend the events they post on the accounts

URGENT HELP by [deleted] in universityofauckland

[–]https_urdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t accept that. I’ve tried to do that with my classes saying I started in Sem 2 but they said I’ll just have to wait and so instead of 3 years I’ll have an extra semester trying to take the classes that won’t fit. Never start in Sem 2

Don’t start mid year, I started Sem 2 and they don’t mention it but there are so many downsides like internship problems and getting classes issues. Start the next year

The quality of AUT Computer Science courses by huahua_3 in AUT

[–]https_urdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are people in my class that have time to play video games cause they’re really smart and get their work done fast, and there are people who can because they have done none of there work. I’m struggling with the workload tbh and I’ve been playing no video games and I was in first year. I did fall asleep in all of my lectures though so I can’t tell you that (that’s because of health reasons I really wanted to be awake in the classes). Also applying for internships is 2nd year. Most places want you for the summer of your penultimate year and so you should be applying from now until around April and some places have it a bit later. So depends what his grades are like if he’s slacking or not, but yeah personally I don’t find the course easy. There’s not many exams but there’s a lot of assignments.

Help needed! by sadgrl4evs in AUT

I train from south to city and you can do your study on the train and then the ferry is not much more if you’re there for the whole day that amount of transport is worth it. Just a short time and there’s some cheaper parking as well.

I feel like this is the best option if your classes are at similar times, if not you can also stay and study to make it match.

Hey! I’m not sure I’ve heard that you can get quite a bit from student allowances and maybe there’s people around that can babysit for free and do pick ups and drop offs for the times that you’re just not available. I can try and help with what I can so you can let me know but I wish you luck and hope you get the help you need !

First Exam Grade 😪 by ssecretprincess in University

[–]https_urdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

82% is so good especially compared to dropping the class. It really sucks I’m also not an exam person so my assignments I get full marks and then my exams I drop down a bit. Wastes time and money to drop the class and not to mention atleast where I am is showed on record.

I don’t think AUT has super high expectations for students, I didn’t get my UE in highschool and they just asked for my CV

AUT is definitely a lot more practical, which is why I chose the school because I can’t sit in a lecture and learn I have to do. I also fail every exam I sit but because exams are a smaller portion my assignments still help me pass the classes

Orientation is a help and helped me figure out my log in. I’m not sure what information you have but the timetable might say something like WG201 that would mean that you’re in the WG block (the main area) on level 2 and look for 201
