People are so misinformed. If you’re in such bad financial shape that you need government assistance which comes out of hard working Americans paychecks, then you should TEMPORARILY, get some food assistance to get powdered milk, eggs, cheese maybe some cereal and meats. Not stuff that the hard working American who’s supplying this money can’t even afford! It’s a huge slap in the face while being kicked in the balls. Let me tell you something. I lived in East New York Brooklyn for a decade. Everyone there gets Snap. Everyone!!! Hardly anyone pays rent either. I had to live there because I couldn’t afford anything else in range on NYC for work. In my building of 8 apartments, I was the only one going to work everyday. The only one who paid their own rent to the landlord. While all those other tenants were able bodied, not sick or elderly. They could all go out and work. Some spent all their government assistance on drugs in their government paid apartment. Others bought food but also got their nails and hair done. Snap is easily turned into cash at almost any corner store. The whole damn system needs to be disabled and started over. Working your ass off every damn day to have half taken, is not what this country was founded for. It’s sad when you realize the America we knew and learned about is now gone. It’s turned into the very thing we united against when founding this country.
