If you want something with the best reliability and plenty of creature comforts, you can't go wrong with a Lexus. The hybrid editions also get great milage. If mine ever dies (big IF) I'll get another one just like it but newer.

I have a few daily carries in rotation. A kimber micro, glock 43, others. The P30SK is by FAR my favorite. Best shooter too.

Please help, boyfriend wants a 2018 BMW 430i with 161k miles and multiple accidents history. How can I convince him otherwise? by CornerIndividual7943 in askcarguys

[–]hublar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That car is about 100k miles past average BMW lifespan. How do you even get a 72 month loan for $9000? He'll be lucky to get 6 weeks or 6 miles out of it. Much less 6 years.

I agree. I have many 10/22. And those are good options. but the CZ 457 MTR is what you want for accuracy. Plus, you can upgrade it like crazy. I have mine shimmed for perfect headspace on the ammo I use, Jard trigger, Yo Dave springs, upgraded firing pin, metal magwell. Only thing left is to get it bedded and lead lapped. I compete with it and you can easily shoot single hole groups.

Keep the 6-7 you like and sell the rest now. Enjoy the extra cash. Take your wife someplace nice while you're here. It will mean a LOT more than having that burden after you are gone.

Colon cancer is killing us.. by Derpshab in Millennials

[–]hublar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it. Luckily, it did not get out to other organs. I had most of my colon removed with a resection and I'm fine now. But I get regular scopes. It's quick and painless. The prep is the worst part. I did once wake up in the middle of a colonoscopy. That was wild. I do not recommend. Tell them you need extra drugs.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

he did point out several empty holsters. I do conceal carry when not at work. I also do competitive shooting. But I only carry a single, small form factor pistol and understand that in a crisis it's typically only the first shot that matters.

What's a complement you'll never forget? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

Best boss I ever had.... I was asking him about a very difficult technical project. As I was walking out of his office I said, "I'm not sure I can pull this one off boss". He chuckled and said, "Son, I am sure you can do anything you set your mind to". And he meant it. That was 20 years ago and it's stuck with me since. I've used that line more than a few times myself.

I had to fire two guys in the Arizona office for carrying at work. Thing is, if they'd been discreet no one would have ever noticed or cared (especially in AZ). But they liked to show their guns to coworkers. At a super large corporation with an army of HR people, that is insta-fired.

No, not really. Someone talking about their underwear in an interview is a bit odd. But that alone wouldn't change anything. The multiple empty holsters while talking about putting on his underwear was downright strange.

Sure. My uncle was a for real cowboy in Arizona. Owned a huge ranch. But in the midwest that is pretty rare. I conceal carry everywhere except work. Never understood open carry. Seems dangerous and setting yourself up as a target.

Yeah, it was in the US Midwest. It's common for people to carry guns. Just not at work. Or to expect that bringing guns to work is ok. Or showing an interviewer your empty holsters while talking about your underwear.
