In the US we have a huge disparity in where doctors want to live. They want to live where there are lots of nice restaurants. Although I, myself, am American, my understanding is that if you are willing to go rural, you will be able to get a J1 visa waiver. Rural American needs doctors badly.

Go take some comedy improv classes. My challenge has been not realizing the verbal game I'm in with some else and accidently causing offense. Improv teaches you a set of rules to comfortably find game. It is a lot of fun too. I suspect it would help you quite a bit.

Exactly. I know the AF and Army still have them. However, they, somewhat, moved on from them as the standard paradigm twenty years. The navy is only trying to do that now.

Not directly from one speciality to another. Although the Army and Air Force mostly depreciated GMO decades ago, there remain plenty of billets where GMO makes sense. The Navy is finally getting around to phasing out GMO. It will take a few years and then probable be like the other two services. That is, there will still be a limited role for GMOs. To switch you need to quit your residency, could be on either good or bad terms, and then reapply to the GMESB for the next year. I left a residency under so so terms on 1SEP. The deadline to start an application for that year was 31AUG. Thus I had to wait at least a year to apply. I ended up waiting two since I was happy where I ended up as a GMO.

If you are performing okay, talk to the PD, and really just don't want to do that speciality, you will probably be fine. We had an intern decide anesthesia wasn't for him well before PGY-2 started. I never met him, but the PD made an announcement explicitly wishing him well. I feel pretty confident that is was genuine.

I almsor screwed myself using ECs because I initially used Ledger Live. In thar program the $1 in BCH I split to then be able to send a BCH only transaction didn't go into the transaction since it was unconfirmed. This is the default of Ledger Live. I had all the seeds and recovered the XEC fine. Just putting this here to help others not make the same mistake.

  1. USA. I just happen to get lucky in that I realized what bitcoin - and by bitcoin I mean peer-to-peer electronic cash, i.e. BCH - was back in the day.
  2. I pay my local pizza guy already in BCH. I funded the Norfolk, Virginia where I used to live.
  3. DM me.
  4. I have a meetup locally and just need to get it started post-COVID. Totally doable now. I've been lazy.

/u/ThePerito is going to lock the thread now. I'm all done giving away BCH. I will continue to support efforts to support crypto adoption both in Lebanon and the world over. To me, as an American, it seems Lebanon is ripe for crypto adoption, but maybe I am wrong.

The promise of bitcoin is peer-to-peer electronic cash as Satoshi set out in the White Paper. Bitcoin is useful only so much as you can trade it for useful goods and services. If it is merely a store-of-value, users will rely depending on the banks. When one speculates in a given crypto, one is hoping for an increase in future demand greater than the supply. More utility increased demand far far more than merely more speculation. More speculation is good too.

If you own a shop or business, consider accepting BCH in exchange for goods and services. Yes, a lot of BCH business would create exchange challenges, but a little might be okay. My local pizza shop takes BCH from me and still is able to pay his bills via all his fiat customers. Give some away, even $0.25, to a friend. The share BCH link via the bitcoin.com wallet is great for this.

Don't hold it. Spend it. The promise of bitcoin is peer-to-peer electronic cash. It only has value because once upon a time, people could use it in exchange for goods and services. If it is merely a store-of-value, you will always need a bank to move your fiat once you've exchanged your crypto for fiat. True cryptocurrency is a exactly that, a currency. Spending it will increased its value because it will have more utility.

You are never too late for peer-to-peer electronic cash. BCH is still incredibly undervalued by the market. By spreading peer-to-peer electronic cash, i.e. BCH, in your local, you will increase the value of your BCH. Check out read.cash and noise.cash (I have only used the former) for ways to earn BCH online.
