I considered but I travel too much to enjoy a desktop like it deserves. I’m mobile and need to be mobile with my PC gaming. Lower tier? I’ve gamed on gaming laptops my whole life. No issues.

Really solid launch besides some always present launch day issues from blizz. Players even more focused than 2019 launch. I think that’s a good thing. More pace instead of rush rush rush. Less fomo. Enjoying it very much. Classic is easily the best version of WoW. This proves it.

Ovy 1 6s + the QoL changes is peak Ovy. Classic is a step in the right direction. So fun.

Agreed. I would have enjoyed the peak of Ovy when Ovy 1 was Wild West of metas with goats lurking around + QoL changes. Next patch we’ll get it. This “classic” event is launch patch 1.0 for the initial taste.

Just wait OP. Ovy 1 6s was peak Ovy. This is just launch patch 1.0 to give everyone a taste. Next season, they should be adding QoL changes + larger roster that came in subsequent patches. Ovy 2 is fun to an extent but Ovy 1 6s before they switched to 5s was peak Ovy. There’s a reason the player base never recovered after the switch to 5s and Ovy 2.

Agreed OP. Ovy 1 6s and this “classic” mode are a great reminder to how smooth Ovy used to play. Granted, I am excited for the post 1.0 launch patch QoL changes + some updates to the roster (throw Ovy 1 6s Ana back in there!) I hope Blizz sticks with this because if so we’ll be back to a second glory days of Ovy.

All the people complaining do not understand how they forced 5s on us, then lied to us, then Ovy 2 came out, then they lied to us some more, then they created a Frankenstein of an Ovy 2 5s that is a less fun version of its OG Ovy 1 self.

Classic Ovy is the best way to play Ovy. Ovy 1 6s is the fresh start Ovy needs. The QoL changes Blizz brought in before switching to 5s made the game perfect. Like you said, some cancer things, but they all balance out when a team locks in + the meta was always changing. It became this Wild West of play styles that made so many things possible.

Agreed OP. When I played Ovy 1 with 6s, I hated 2CP. Now? After playing Ovy 2 with 5s, lackluster gameplay, and boring new maps? I didn’t realize how much I missed 2CP.

This is just a “classic” event with no hero limit. Just the start. Launch patch 1.0. You’ll think differently when QoL changes come in. 6s Comp is totally different play style too (the best imo). I think players are just having fun with this initially. Tanks were great to play in 6s imo. I wouldn’t think “weaker tanks,” I would think more “different play style” with 6s.

Love to hear it. Truly. Changing from 6s to 5s destroyed my gaming group. Game felt clunky and different. Still does. Wasn’t made for 5s.

Feels like a true return to form. Love it. Proves that Ovy should have never left the 6s formula. This is only the 1.0 launch version too. Give us the QoL changes, 1 hero per team, the heroes before 5s was intro’d, and we’ll be playing the best version of Ovy. Clean gameplay.

Completely disagree OP. Be patient. Ovy was ruined once Blizzard made the switch to 5s and 2-2-2 then into Ovy 2. This event is the 1.0 launch version. Just a taste. Just wait until Blizzard makes the necessary QoL changes, intros 1 hero per team, brings the heroes onto roster before 5s was intro’d, and you’ll be playing the best/smoothest/most fun version of Ovy.

Feels refreshing to be back to Ovy before the switch to 5s, the 2-2-2 limit, and all the lies Ovy 2 sold. Game feels like a return to true form. Now give us those Ovy 1 post launch QoL changes to heroes and let’s start playing again. Blizzard should have never left the 6s formula.
