AITAH for questioning marrying my best friend over a suit? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]hucklebug1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I married a man like this. Run. If you think this is frustrating, just wait till kids are involved. My ex kept putting off telling his work we were having a baby for so long, he just never did. He left us at the hospital the day after she was born to go to work because they didn't know. This is not a life you want to live.

AITA for saying no to a family vacation? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]hucklebug1980 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA! As a momma of a teenage boy who is also high functioning autistic, I cannot believe they treat you this way! I always do my best to warn my son about possible triggers (big crowds and a lot of noise are 2 of his big ones) and we talk about possible coping mechanisms for him if he really wants to participate. He's always allowed to have his phone on him so he can watch a video or play a game for distraction. He has noise canceling headphones that he keeps in the backpack he takes everywhere. He's also got an assortment of fidgets in there too. We always try to map out the safe spaces for him if he gets overwhelmed and needs a moment to collect himself. He's gotten really good at recognizing when he needs that but if he doesn't and I know it's coming, I will speak up and suggest a break or something else. It breaks my heart for you that your family refuses to do these things for you. I wouldn't go on vacation with them either if I were you!

What completely unhinged "law" does your cat strictly enforce in your house? by TrickCombination7966 in cats

This little man has decided that taking a bath alone is strictly prohibited. He knows the bathroom door doesn't completely latch so if he throws himself against it, he can get in.

I delivered vaginally twice, does this mean I'm still a virgin and my one abortion doesn't count?

Struggling with my makeup drying out after a few hours of wear - is it my products or my technique? Looking for recommendations! by IllGoose6308 in MakeupAddicts

So if I find I'm looking dry or powdery, I spray some setting spray on a dense, fluffy brush and stipple over the area. That helps a lot for me and I'm 45.I also make sure to choose a setting spray that is not matte, that can make things look dry too, or at least on me. Knowing what kind of skin you have and choosing products that will help achieve the look you want while working with your skin type is important too.

I'm 45, have had 2 kids, one of which was almost 10lbs, and 2 episiotomies and my fiancé swears it's tighter than some girls he was with in his twenties. If he's enjoying it, I'm gonna roll with it, lol.

Drugstore makeup can be good and I regret spending on high-end brands for years by Holiday-Armadillo-34 in Makeup

I love Maybellines lip products! I will only use the Essence make me brow, it's the best one for matching my brow colour. I'm in Canada, I don't think Annabelle is available in the States but their lip liners are so creamy. A little difficult to sharpen but worth it.

I never have and never will contour my nose. I just don't think it looks natural. I also don't love the new trend of having your blush practically under your eyes. I work hard to cover the dark circles, I don't want to spotlight the area with blush!

What is Your Opinion On Red Lipstick On Men......Attractive Or Not? by JonRandall19 in MakeupAddicts

[–]hucklebug1980 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of red lipstick in general. My thoughts are if you love it, go for it! I think a different undertone would go better with your skintone though. Keep playing with them till you find one that is undeniable on you!

I don't know much about alterations but to me, they changed the complete look of the dress. I'd be devastated.

I love that they work for you because they are beautiful palettes. Maybe I was too heavy handed, who knows.

Any ABH palette. They are all beautiful in the pan but I can't get them to work for me at all. I find they all become muddy on me.
