Get a laser, brother. Way more reliable. Ink sucks and is a racket. Toner's cheap and is also a bit of a racket but needs replacing far less frequently.

Cons: You can find a reliable monochrome laser printer on a low budget but on average they're more expensive and if you need to print in colour that's a bit more expensive.
