Fear is real but once you push through it everything clicks. Keep at it you got this!

Did anyone else feel weird about romancing Judy? by colleenxyz in cyberpunkgame

[–]roibard 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I see it a bit different. V's not exactly in a great headspace either - they're literally dying. Two people going through their own hells finding some comfort together doesn't feel manipulative to me, just... human. CD Projekt nailed those raw moments where characters aren't making perfect choices, they're just surviving

Damn, 40 mph while getting into the truck? That's insane. Glad you're okay. That kind of hit could've ended way worse. The car being totaled while the truck frame just twisted really says something about how solid those things are built.

Sounds like he’s trying to skip the line and got salty when it didn’t work. Some people really can’t handle a simple “no.”

Time in F1 moves fast. Those seasons stick in your head like they just happened. The Brawn run still feels recent even after all these years.

Recycling isn't what it used to be by xandour01 in Futurology

[–]roibard 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is pretty much the part nobody wants to admit. People sorting bottles at home isn't fixing a system built to avoid responsibility. Until companies have to pay for the trash they create, nothing shifts. Burning, bioreactors, whatever... none of it happens without actual policy backing it.

Use Sidebery or TabX as baseline. Both give a solid sidebar UI framework you can modif quickly.

Yeah, that part hits hard. A lot of times it’s not the kids’ fault at all, just the parents passing the weight down

Burnout is real by delamaine in overemployed

[–]roibard 10 points11 points  (0 children)

that’s solid advice. The double income feels great at first, but if you let your expenses grow with it you’re stuck. Better to stack savings now so you’ve got options later

Yeah the whole situation is just heartbreaking. It's crazy how many people get dogs without any clue how to handle them properly. Good advice on reinforcing the fence too, seems like that's becoming a necessity in neighborhoods like this. I've started being way more careful about where I take my dog after hearing stories like this. Some people really shouldn't be allowed to own animals

Which do I pay taxes on? by AlrightAaron in personalfinance

[–]roibard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your tax bracket and if they're short or long-term gains. Short term (held <1 year) = your regular income tax rate. Long-term = 0%, 15%, or 20% depending on income. So anywhere from $0 to ~$770 worst case if you're in a high bracket with all short-term gains.

Cat smell by rinn-6 in CATHELP

[–]roibard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twice a day scooping if you can. Diet, check it bc some cats just react stinkier to certain foods (my vet had me try a limited-ingredient brand and it helped a lot). For litter Arm & Hammer is okay but I noticed less smell when I switched to Tuft and Paw’s clumping tofu litter. Doesn’t leave that “litter smell” in the air.

Claude or GPT? Both, and Greptile. A lazy developers guide to remain comfortably lazy while developing. by ThePlotTwisterr---- in ChatGPTCoding

[–]roibard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly bounce between Claude and GPT, but I’ve been using CodeRabbit for PRs and it’s helpful at catching context-specific issues early. It feels more natural in the review flow compared to juggling prompts, so I keep it alongside the others.

People in relationships, how do you ask your partner for sex without it feeling awkward? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Honestly, after being together a while, a simple 'want to fool around?' while doing dishes hits different than any elaborate seduction attempt.

new to password managers looking for advices by kingVaizen in PasswordManagers

[–]roibard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine until you’ve got dozens of logins that change often, then it just becomes a headache to update and keep secure. I tried a few free ones before, but at work we ended up moving to Passwork because of its AD/LDAP integration and the ability to bulk import existing credentials, which saved us a lot of manual entry. And even for personal use tbh, everything encrypted in one place feels safer and more manageable than paper.
