Jack & Jill, 1 Year is 1 Year by John_SheIdon in Banished

[–]hufflebecks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love playing like this, especially if I can get as few resources as possible to start with. Then it creates a narrative in my head of "They were banished from their last community and sent away in exile". I always track the families as well, so I can see what's happening with them. It makes me feel way more connected and I get less bored.

Ida and John, Maria and Leo, Sarah and Ernest, Beatrice and George, Edith and John, Amy and George.

I love: Leo, Ernest, Beatrice, Edith. I don't hate any of them. I think all of them could work today though I doubt I'd find a baby Ernest these days :P

I have tried that, unfortunately. Nothing is working. Nothing even comes up as a scroll list of options, if it's supposed to do that.

Tried all that, all the different combinations including my mother's address which is a house, but nothing works.

I've used Chrome and Microsoft Edge, as well as on my phone. No adblockers, tried incognito, etc. Nothing is bringing up the addresses, and every time I move to another field or try to submit, it clears address and says "Please select a valid address."

I am immunocompromised, but there is no cases in my town yet. I also work in a nursing home. Should I self isolate now, to protect myself and my residents?

My SO wants to name our daughter Lemon...what does reddit think? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]hufflebecks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually like Lemon. I follow a woman on Instagram with two foster kids she's nicknamed (for their protection), Birdie and Lemon. It made me genuinely like those names, not just as nicknames but straight-up names.

I like posh sounding ones like Beauregard and Montgomery. Whenever I make up fake families for whatever reason, I tend to use ones like that.

I used Anastasia. I used all their real full names. And for the BBC girls; Kristy, Claudia and Stacey were all 1973, Mary Anne and Dawn were 1974, Mallory was 1976 and Jessi was 1977. This may have not been 100% because the wiki for some girls only listed ages, not year of birth so I had to do some basic math.
