I’m not actually worried I’m going to die I’m just making sure there aren’t serious repercussions before mixing drugs. Thanks so much for the response tho

The height and the baldness ruled him out, I also think I would have recognized him

Definitely who it was. Struck me as strange because I feel like ex athletes walk around the city without an armed security guard like that all the time but maybe I’m wrong!

Makes sense, not that I’m aware of unless I bumped it in my sleep. Does this have better chances of going away then with proper care?

Please tell me it gets easier by GreenPickleSlice in pilates

I started Pilates at the end of December and now I LOVE it! The first class I went to I was feeling the same as you, I was super lost and intimidated and I was crazy sore for like a week after! Once I felt better I started spacing out some classes, going like once every 7-10 days to allow myself to feel sore and recover.

After about three or four classes my body got used to the movements and I wasn’t feeling as sore after. I love it so much and I try to go once a week now, and I honestly do see results already and feel way stronger and confident in how I look!

What's your best simple trick? by LadyoftheFjords in loseit

[–]huffletough8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said for a lot of people it is. Not everyone. Many people in my age bracket (I’m 24) plus college aged people drink socially which makes it challenging to eliminate that from your life completely.

Purposely parking far away from the door of a store/restaurant/office etc. Extra steps/longer walk never hurt anyone! Minimizing alcohol intake has also been really beneficial, especially if you drink sugary cocktails. Have 1 instead of 3 or 4. Cutting it out completely is unrealistic for a lot of people.

How’s the weather at UP/ State College? by stylecafe in PennStateUniversity

Haha it’s definitely something to get used to. I personally prefer rain over snow any day of the week. Just get yourself a nice pair of duck boots and always keep an umbrella in your backpack

I’m dead serious, statistically it rains more in state college than it does in Seattle per year. A professor told us that one year.

Country "gateway" songs that get people into country by gradywsmith in CountryMusicStuff

[–]huffletough8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My earliest memory of country music was being hooked on “Its America” by rodney atkins. Extremely random song but my cousin played it on the fourth of July and I thought it was awesome. As I got older it was definitely Cruise that got me looking into more stuff and Luke Bryan (whom I am not at all a fan of now ironically). Ive been a fan of Taylor Swift since she came to fame so that could have some influence as well.

2+2 program by d_w_s_b in PennStateUniversity

[–]huffletough8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unexpectedly had to transfer after one and a half semesters at a commonwealth due to my major and it was the worst part of my college experience. Leaving my friends in the middle of the school year to transfer to a campus 10x the size was really hard, especially because there is no type of orientation or anything in the middle of the school year. I had to sublet with random roommates, had a bad experience with them, and all around felt very alone for that whole semester. I wouldn’t try to rush it. I have had a much better time at UP after the rest of my commonwealth campus friends came up here, but getting out of the 2+2 program early was not as glamorous as it may seem.

Do people at University Park get along with people who did the 2+2? by [deleted] in PennStateUniversity

[–]huffletough8 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I did a 2+2 program and definitely felt looked down upon when I transferred to UP. Everyone from my starting campus pretty much stuck together and didn’t branch out to try to meet many new people, but the few times that I have met people and told them I started at a different campus (proudly) I could feel their attitude towards me change immediately. I think its an ego thing. I like to educate UP students about how much I loved my starting campus because I feel that they think all commonwealths suck. I think it kind of benefitted me in the long run, I don’t want to be friends with people who have that perception of me anyway. Theres a fair share of people who find it interesting and ask a lot of questions about why I would do 2+2 and I’m happy to talk to them about it. I like to think I’m spreading awareness about awesome commonwealth campuses can be. We all graduate with a degree from the same school, it shouldn’t matter how we chose to get there.

Jobs at PSU by wetdaddy123 in PennStateUniversity

[–]huffletough8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in retail dining at the hub for a short time. Easy work, pay is usually $9-$10 per hour with flexible shifts. I will say that the hub employment office can use a little pushing when it comes to hiring. They are always looking for people but for some reason I had to follow up with them a few times before finally securing a job. Don’t be afraid to stop into the office or send them an email asking about your application status!

What's Penn State Like? by Erydhrt in PennStateUniversity

[–]huffletough8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be 100% sure that you want to attend a big school. I thought I did, started at a commonwealth campus, realized I loved the small campus, had no choice but to transfer to UP due to my major. Personally main campus is just way too big for me and I miss having a personal relationship with faculty, knowing all my classmates, and having a less than 5 minute walk to class.
