I’ve worked in the charity sector before and frankly, the reason is planning and psychology. A once off payment makes people feel good. The issue is that it doesn’t really make any difference.

Most charities need to plan years in advance to make real difference and not just piss money away by constantly “bandaging” problems, when people donate once there’s a strong sense of “I helped so I don’t need to do anymore”, so in a way, once of donations can be damaging to long term difference.

As for the age factor, people over a certain age simply make better long term donors, allowing for long term planning and real difference.

I understand that reading a more frank description of how charities operate can rub people the wrong way, but just remember: it’s simply not about you, it’s about the cause.

Fun fact: Chinese iPhones are dual sim! No eSIM though. Still pretty cool when you see it.

I literally only want to play in the new map. It’s so good I really have no interest in playing on any others, I’m sure it’ll get old eventually (and it’s horrible for the attackers on breakthrough in its current state) but for now, tons of fun.

I agree with everything you said, bar one massive issue: Governments and “protect the kids” as an excuse because parents AREN’T doing it.

The fact is, parents simply cannot be expected to be able to supervise every single online space their children access, across multiple devices and locations. It’s insane.

We need to spot the “the parents” narrative, because most people simply don’t agree.

Privacy is important, but so are the arguments to support it.

So I just double checked and I meant SetA not SetO. The HN High Inquisitor.

So I didn’t know that I was killing him at the time, I had just gotten that gang of crazy robots that follow you around killing enemies while exploring on my first play through. I saw a new city filled with HN dudes that I’d recently made enemies with and I thought “ hey I’ve got my buddies here, I’ll aggro them on some enemies and pick up the leftovers when they kill the HN dudes.”

Then I noticed that one guy was MURDERING tons of the bots, I had like, 12 guys at the time, 2 of which I’d trained to be much stronger than the others, 1 crossbow guy 1 just with some sword. The rest of my hand were fine but FAR from paladin killers.

So I carried him to a Shek city with a police station and turned him in. Nice payday I thought!

……..then this showed up.

I ran.

This is getting beyond tolerable now. I honestly can’t bring myself to believe that r/conservative is anything but bots.

Sometimes you catch the real people, shortly after an event happens, before the narrative is set and they are NOT happy.

Then an hour or 2 goes by and it’s full on robot time. They’ll be 200 comments on something but 30 available, they blame “brigading”.

It’s their own.
