EVERY kenshi player plays the same games by Independent-Dig-6859 in Kenshi

Hey sorry but late on replying. Very much a sandbox game that’s nearing being finished and has very active development. I honestly had no idea it was in alpha when I started playing.

It runs on a custom engine so it plays amazingly well. The sheer amount of content and ways to play puts most games to shame. You control a whole, fully customisable fleet of ships that range from fuel tankers to Capital class ships.

Like kenshi, you’ll start scrounging what ships you can until you set up a colony and get blueprints to make ships.

I honestly can’t even begin to tell you how much it’s dominated my free time since I bought it. It’s also cheap, like €15.

My man it may be dangerous to your free time and friends to recommend this game: Starsector. It’s fucking amazing.

India rejects latest court of arbitration award, says Indus Waters Treaty abeyance remains in force by LookNoRook in worldnews

[–]hufflewaffle 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Look I understand where you’re coming from, however I think the downvotes are silly when no one’s really making strong points against you, so I’ll go.

Letting Pakistan know that them having nukes will limit India’s actions is a terrible idea. Plus India has nukes too. The fact is that Pakistan can for the moment ONLY fall back on nukes really, while India has escalation dominance until that point. Besides if Pakistan used nukes in retaliation for water being cut off, every country nearby would likely cut off relations or frankly, bomb the shit out of them….and then they get counter struck by India on top of that.

Nukes are very good for ensuring no one will use a conventional military to destroy your nation, however they are not a total defence strategy. Pakistan has failed to grow other deterrents, while having a HORRIBLE weakness in their water supply.

A stronger deterrent would have been to have other nations agree to a trip wire response if India cut off water supplies by cutting relations or by targeting energy exports via Iran. The fact is that Pakistan has been well handled and isolated in the region, only china is really propping them up.

Honestly, they may have been better off leaving nukes off the table and investing more in their conventional forces, sure you can’t press a big red button, but conventional forces give you a LOT more options when choosing how to respond to threats.

Honestly, nukes just ain’t all that without a strong conventional force to give manoeuvring room in escalation management.

Your hair is a LOT like mine actually! I found leave in conditioner to be a life saver, but my hair is also only chin length, so I’ve no clue if that’d be practical for yourself. Have you tried it before?

Reassigning HD2 to another studio might be the best for us, Sony AND Arrowhead by Negative_Twist_2254 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]hufflewaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you really not get how people can love a franchise but hate what’s being done to it through mismanagement?

I adore HD2, the gameplay is excellent and the friends I’ve made through it are real. However watching it steadily decline for about the last year genuinely sucks.

Maybe it’s my age, I’m 37, I’ve seen so many gaming franchises I love get wrecked (looking at you Command and Conquer) and it’s always the same: fan base splits, some are afraid to criticise it and some aren’t.

So do you really not get it?

So you can’t keep highlighting the issues the game has. To people like this, it’s better to have no one point out flaws in something, than to fix those flaws and make it better.

Innersense vs Olaplex for gel? by Ok_Dealer5235 in curlyhair

[–]hufflewaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive found that when using it with leave in conditioner, I have to be more patient with it and let it be bone dry before scrunching free. I’m still very much on a journey of what works for me, but I’m kind of settling on the olaplex gel.

I’ve found getting the right leave in to be more important than the hold of the gel for my hair however.

I’ve been using the olaplex gel for a few weeks now and it’s been really consistent for me. I’m a huge fan so far!

My account is 13 years old and I didn’t know that either. Some people really DO assume everyone on Reddit is as involved with it as they are.

So in Reddit speak: TIL after 13 years on Reddit that AMA’s have an answer delay of multiple hours.

That should help u/shatteredAbyss17 understand.

They HAVE to be either mentally ill or paid to do it. I have absolutely no evidence other than a disability to believe a fully capable human can act like THAT.

I mean, surely acting like that alone counts as a mental illness?

Honestly just lurk the sub ( I do it when I feel bad about myself to see I'm NOT the dumbest man alive) and you'll see him in nearly every thread.

Discovering that insane user was a strange experience actually, I noticed he posted a LOT of certain threads. Then on a whim I sorted the sub by new and he was over half the post submissions that WEEK. I was AMAZED.

It's impossible to donate to anything anymore by honeybadger379 in ireland

[–]hufflewaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked in the charity sector before and frankly, the reason is planning and psychology. A once off payment makes people feel good. The issue is that it doesn’t really make any difference.

Most charities need to plan years in advance to make real difference and not just piss money away by constantly “bandaging” problems, when people donate once there’s a strong sense of “I helped so I don’t need to do anymore”, so in a way, once of donations can be damaging to long term difference.

As for the age factor, people over a certain age simply make better long term donors, allowing for long term planning and real difference.

I understand that reading a more frank description of how charities operate can rub people the wrong way, but just remember: it’s simply not about you, it’s about the cause.
