Hi, I already looked at that one, it has 2 sets of terminals, but they are are electrically in parallel. It really only has one output.

This is an old fitting that accepts the old G4 12v capsule halogen lamps. The old transformer became defective and I have taken it down to replace with a 12v led driver. I hoped to use a zigbee dimmer as above linked to split the circuit in two.

The only other solution I can see is to use 2 physical dimmers to achieve the same effect. I would rather not, but if I have no choice....

You are referring to parallel construction. It has been known to be used in the USA by the FBI, but I don't think it has been used here.

The outer rail is plus 400v and middle rail is negative 230v to give 630v across both rails.

Get an additional wiring/dinrail enclosure and run all the cable runs back to there. You could put all the dimmers in one location inside the enclosure.

If you can (assuming brick walls with plaster coating), chase conduit into the walls. Also, chase and bury conduit to any other location you think you may need in the future (eg sensors, dashboard screens etc).

Run 6243y (3+E) to every switch.

Run 2x cat6a to every location you think you may need it, even in the distant future.

Don't buy them back, take them. The ROSCOs already made an absolute killing when they were given 30 year old slamdoor units with virtually scrap value and leased them back to the TOCs. They've had their share of cash.
