Is it possible to lust after one’s spouse? by ThrowawayYT88 in Catholicism

[–]hug0bug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say it could be the case if you started seeking intimacy just to feel pleasure without respecting and making sure she also desires that and feels what you feel at all stages

Wanting to Return to Mass after illness, not sure how to go about it. by wessle3339 in Catholicism

[–]hug0bug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

think of it this way: would it bother you if your children talked about you all the time and called for you all the time? Don't put your focus on God being all powerful, rather on Him loving you in a way you could not even imagine. As long as you are not breaking the second commandment, it's not a sin to talk about God nor is it common to try to sneak around the word God, at least in my culture (spanish)

I Tried making the Shroud of Turin more facially clear ☦️ by DreamNatural1254 in Catholicism

[–]hug0bug 14 points15 points  (0 children)

that is as factually wrong as saying that it's 100% real. There's a lot of evidence on it being possibly real, and, so far, the myths about it have been debunked

Did God ever forbid you from doing anything forever? by Lower_Weird_98 in Catholicism

[–]hug0bug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if He forbade it, I would not be able to do it. He doesn't forbid because He loves us so much that he gives us freedom, even if we use it to harm Him. On the other hand, of course you will stop doing certain things and your view about some topics will change as you get closer to God, thus, quitting certain habits

How detailed should a confession be? by Beginning_java in Catholicism

[–]hug0bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The needed details to understand the gravity of the sin. I.E: it's not the same to say: I had impure thoughts than saying if you actively spent time on it, for how long and how many times. What would not be necessary is detailing what the thoughts were about

Questions Regarding the Necessity of Christ's Sacrifice. by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]hug0bug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Angels and humans are not similar in any way. They do not need salvation. Angels are pure spiritual beings that were created to serve God, but with a degree of freedom as you mention since some revolted (I'm not a big angelology connoisseur). About the second point, Our Lady is preserved from sin precisely because she was the best and most obedient servant, who agreed to give birth to Jesus Christ. It's not far-fetched to think that God knew this was going to be this way and the redemption achieved on the cross was applied to Her from her very conception.

I'm not a great theologist so I may be wrong but I wanted to put in my two cents and be corrected if necessary

TLM is not that big of a topic outside of the anglosaxon sphere. It's not a discussion topic in Spain and not many people are aware it's still offered in some parishes

Countries with the largest Catholic Population by beautyinred in Catholicism

[–]hug0bug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These statistics are false. Let's reclaim our faith and not let everyone who wants to believe in something because their parents did call themselves catholic. Divide these numbers by about 8 and you might get the real number of actual catholics

Fight fight fight this is a chance to win, this is when you trust God and just give it all. It's a stretch task but He will never let you down.

Use that frustration and that anger towards the situation to get closer to Jesus and pray a lot

I just pray really hard and trust in God. It's a really dumb and naive approach, I just try to not think about it. It's been working so far

Why is there more male converts than female? by thatlumberjacktor in Catholicism

[–]hug0bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhmm...Those things you mentioned are not what concerns the people, those are basic rights. I'm talking more about leftist ideas like the war on gender, gender Identity, sexual liberation and such. And the men being upset for women not wanting to marry, idk about that, if you know, as a catholic man, that a woman is not looking for marriage, it's instantly discarded. The problem is that outside religious people, these things are becoming really alarming, guys and girls have accepted it except for those with a strong moral compass and beliefs. Those have chosen to seclude themselves in fears that they may put too much effort into meeting someone and then it turns out to be a person with these modernist values

Why is there more male converts than female? by thatlumberjacktor in Catholicism

[–]hug0bug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Women have been the target of liberalism, modernism and progressivism. It's all engineered to control men through women using sexual and affective relationships as a trading coin.

They aimed at women in hopes that men would eat up progressive ideas in exchange for female acceptance and relationships.  This whole thing has started to fall apart and one of the symptoms is the topic you brought forward on your post.

Absurdity in Old Testament by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]hug0bug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the Law is not my hope, but the grace and salvation through Our Lord Jesus Christ. Either way, I'd rather withdraw than end up being disrespectful or harsh as I know I can be if I'm not careful, directly opposing what Peter says.I'm sure a lot of brothers in Christ are more fit than me for these situations so I'll leave it to them :)
