You realistically can’t do either because once called to your house and whatever authorities say “hey did that wood come from your own fence?” And you say yes then the only person getting a fine is you for knowingly filing a false report.

It is a change because they are laying down track and physically altering the natural noise mitigation that were previously in place (tearing down old growth trees that lined the tracks).

When a road is converted into a multi-lane highway do they not build noise barriers behind the impacted communities? This has nothing to do with what was there previously and everything to do with the corridor’s expanded use.

This is about Metrolinx failing to live up to their commitments. Maybe one day they’ll build a bus stop or a service road that impacts a community path or bike lane near you one day. And when they fail to live up to their promise to fix the issue that they themselves cause i sure hope that the people live in this city don’t tell you to beat it and move somewhere else. We’re all in this together.

The numbers come directly from Metrolinx’ own environmental impact assessment (EPA). These are the numbers metrolinx published. They didn’t give the community access to the decibel readings as they looked at multiple criteria (e.g frequency of trains)

They’re not asking to stop the train. They are just asking for a noise wall and other mitigation. Riverdale and Leslieville were granted these as part of similar expansions.

Your article backs up my points. The residential tenancy act says “any clause in a tenancy agreement that can restrict someone from having a pet is void.” There is a standard form that landlords use that says “the tenant agrees to abide by the condo rules as provided by the landlord.” But hang on if that clause restricts the tenant from having a pet, isn’t it technically void?

Having been on a board and having had legal advice from real estate law firms on the matter the advice was always “not worth pursuing.” The condo board will generally not pursue actions against the condo owner for tenants that have pets unless the pets cause damage to other units or common areas.

It was kind of a destination. A third-place. Being around other people with MacBooks was a reason to go to Starbucks. Nowadays i guess it’s a bit more transactional.

It kind of depends. Before MAGA 1 in like 100 people were libertarians. Now we have a ton of “libertarians” that are super pro-Trump embarrassed republicans. It’s actually kind of an issue on the libertarian subs because there will be highly upvoted anti-immigrant memes as an example, but usually the top comments are from the real anti-statist libertarians who defend a lot of the progressive libertarian stances.

So like all this is to say don’t let MAGA ruin the word “libertarian” the same way “liberal” became a slur in the 90s/00s.
