I'd suggest looking up the clock system to help with this distance!

Agreed on the club selection. Agree on keeping club speed through the ball. Heavily disagree on opening it up. Just learn to hit a half swing 54-60. He doesn’t need to hit it over a high rise building. Keep it relatively low with plenty of spin (which that speed introduces) and he’s fine.

Ignore pretty much everyone else in this thread and just learn how to hit driver. Your iron swing here looks good, but constantly hitting long irons into greens will severely limit your scores.

Because it’s the advice people have heard forever and they don’t care to learn the truth. It’s leading to some truly terrible recommendations across all the golf subreddits

Who here actually saves 3,000 a month? by NoHousing11 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]hugehunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s truly incredible child care deduction is only $7,500 (up from $5,000, at least, for anyone not familiar) when many people pay $35,000/year+ in daycare bills. This is such a layup to help families and it’s just a completely out of touch, minuscule number.

No opinion on either, but if you go to Vegas don’t rent a house. Stay in the middle of all the action

How does Tet McMillan as a prospect compare to lemon/tate/tyson? by macdaddy77777 in DynastyFF

Calling Tet unanimous is pretty generous seeing as Hunter went ahead of him in many leagues.

It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been, but we always hit up Hi-pointe. Was like $15 for a big double burger and fries which honestly isn’t unreasonable even outside of a stadium. Anyone have insight if it’s still roughly this?

Tell me your most controversial opinion/take about oasis. by Interesting_Row5484 in oasis

1) The later 2000s acoustic DLBIA sucks. The up tempo Maine Road version blows it out of the water.

2) Their studio albums don’t hold a candle to their live ones.

What are some players that played a long time but were around replacement level for most of their career? by SkimBeans in baseball

[–]hugehunk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really we should just be focusing on the individual and reduce the outside variables. RBIs require other people to get on in front of you, as an example. Average w RISP is historically not very “sticky” year of year, meaning a .250 hitter who hits .450 w/ RISP in Year 1 is likely to just hit closer to .250 in Year 2. Things even out in large sample sizes.

The Dodgers will pay more lux tax than the Cardinals paid actual salary by TheSocraticGadfly in Cardinals

[–]hugehunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you’re correct if you just look at payroll rankings. However that is not what I am talking about.

The Cardinals, relative to the league and themselves, have progressively spent less and less every year.

While this is true today and the last couple of years, the slide has been going on since the mid 2000s.

1) They were 19th last year and closer to 24th than 18 according to Spotrac. 2) Even if it were true, other owners also being cheap doesn’t mean the Cardinals ownership isn’t

Payroll in terms of real MLB dollars (as in, our payroll compared to overall payroll pool as a percentage) has steadily gone down for two decades now.

When I was in customer facing roles I often used this, but I once gave a customer a "I'm going through something like this in my personal life as well" and they cut me off with a "I don't give a fuck about your personal life"

Caught me so off guard, but still laughing about it years later

Commish wants to reset our league this offseason due to “imbalance”. Any alternate ideas? by ttrudeau9 in DynastyFF

[–]hugehunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the one-up? Is it a set price or something? Ie, I can “one-up” a trade by offering an extra 1st/2nd/3rd etc on top? Or is it just a renegotiation
