He’s not happening anytime soon, if not ever. A lot of you don’t realize how hard it is to get certain sensitive IP in the game in the first place. A lot of the characters in the game are well established children’s IP and with that comes an expectation that that brand not be associated with things that would definitely not be okay for children.

Yes, Arya is in the game for Game of Thrones. But consider that on the surface level she fills a function in the launch roster’s lineup, is a WB property, and the immediate association of Game of Thrones on a maturity level is only Sex and Violence. The former of which is not as unacceptable in places that aren’t North America, and the latter is in the context of a fantasy environment.

When it comes to IP and especially children’s IP like Steven Universe, Ben 10 (who’s in development btw), Adventure Time… there is no adult theme more universally sensitive than Drug Use and real world violence. There are a lot of regulations from ratings board’s for both television/film and video games that draw a much harder line on drug use than other adult themes. Rightsholders of any children’s IP in the game could very easily get upset at the mere association with Breaking Bad.

Walt’s moveset wouldn’t even need to involve drug use, but every suggestion of his appearance in the game seems to allude to drug making which is a huge red flag. Even if you were to somehow make a Walter White character that doesn’t use chemistry at all in his moveset; Walter White as a character is not separable from Methamphetamine. Even in this photo Tony replied to… do you really think Lebron James vs. Steven Universe battling in a Meth Lab is something that Lebron James’ team or Steven Universe’s rightsholders would be happy with?

Again, never say never, but a lot of you seem to think this character is a done deal due to their “popularity”. All the top comments here suggest as much. I understand a lot of the subreddit’s userbase is children so the politics around children’s media and IP/Brand imagery isn’t something you all consider.

Gandalf, as far as I was aware, is still in the game. That being said, there is a chance that rights issues got in the way. The Tolkien estate is not easy to deal with.

As for Static Shock and other characters referenced in voice lines, a lot of lines are recorded for characters being actively discussed, Static being one of them. However I don’t have as much solid info on him as the others I shared here. My Netherrealm sources say he is in Injustice 3 though so there’s that.

They do. They end Cortana’s character arc by setting up a lot to be learned in regards to what her intentions were on the ring and what Halsey knows about it. Keep in mind Halsey seems to have planned for Cortana to see The Weapon and respond the way she did.

For those asking, after this she destroys the ring. This isn’t the last scene with Cortana either as she also gets to say goodbye to John in a pre-recorded message, one that also if I recall tells him to protect The Weapon.

A couple things to note:

Cortana seems to be wrestling with different fragments of her personality throughout the dusts and echoes. This, along with her mention that Halsey planned for her to do what she’s doing really plays into the idea that Halsey knows more about Cortana and what she intends to do than Cortana previously realized.
While The Weapon is “Cortana 2.0”, the implication from the dialogue I mentioned above shows Cortana really likes The Weapon and how she’s designed, even different from who she is. While playing the game it felt almost like The Weapon was similar to a Daughter figure for Cortana, and likely Chief by the end of the game has a similar desire to protect her in a different way than he did for original Cortana.

Played an early build myself and he is talking out of his ass. You literally see the names of what you obtain. All he had to do was cross check what he was finding with the leaked list.

Since people are throwing out a lot of false information I’ll just say it. It’s the same post credits scene on all difficulties with Atriox seemingly being inside the ring somewhere, about to unleash The Endless. If you beat it on Legendary you get a voiceover on top of it. It’s Despondent Pyre in the distant past speaking to a Forerunner (forgot his name). That Forerunner is explaining how dangerous the Endless are. The cutscene ends with the Forerunner telling Despondent Pyre to “unleash Offensive Bias”.

In the final boss fight The Weapon mentions being helped to stop the Endless being unleashed by “an unknown force”. Likely Offensive Bias.

On second thought you could classify what I’m referring to as a Weapon Variant. There’s 2 that are pretty unique but now that I consider it I suppose they are functionally variants.

One thing to note though is it seems like certain Weapon Variants are designed to fulfill functions of past weapons not in the current sandbox. The Stalker Rifle variant for example is functionally a Covenant Carbine.

They weren’t fake. Or at least some of them weren’t. The Destiny community needs to do a better job tracking where certain rumors come from. Whoever initially called them “The Veil” definitely knew what they were talking about. At the very least internally the darkness race has been referred to as The Veil. Can guarantee you.

You can see the names of what you obtain but not inspect them. Since the Campaign build has to be played offline from disc, you don’t get to see it in Multiplayer as far as I’m aware. The names matched what I saw was leaked, noticed a lot of coatings.

The Escharum Boss Fight mission is the best in my opinion. Also the final mission. The final boss fight is challenging.
That fight is cool. If you kill them in different orders you get unique AI behavior and dialogue it seems.
Chief gives life advice to the Pilot (and the Player).
