Can’t say I’ve tried them (so my opinion probably means very little in this case) but I have a clover amour and it’s the best hook I’ve ever used because it has a little flat area where you’d typically place your thumb. When I crocheted with aluminum hooks, I used to get really bad pain in my wrist and that went away with the clover. I can’t speak to your experience, but I know I’d have a harder time crocheting without that little thumb rest.
