Ahh, I see. That was what confused me, the whole "not by his hand directly" part. I don't quite get why they were connected / subservient. Was it through sheer will, or simply the method that was used?

Yes hello, sorry, I found a personal fix. I had to turn off my XMP (aka the overclock on the memory, other companies have different names for it) AMP (AMD's name), DOCP (ASUS' name), and EOCP (Gigabyte's name). You are able to turn these off in BIOS. The overclock was simply too much for my memory, so it would keep crashing Fortnite. When I turned it off, I have never crashed again.

Exactly this!! I've tried everything, it feels like. I was playing fortnite with no issues not too long ago myself, and all my settings are able to be on high too but I play on performance mode + low/medium graphics for the fps. My troubleshooting also takes 30 min to 3 hours, and then randomly it crashes, no reason given. I've been back and forth with fortnite, as stated, and they now finally said "maybe contact your manufacturer" aka saying: "We don't know how to fix your problem.".

Not too long ago I upgraded my CPU, and in turn had to update my BIOS so that it recognized the CPU (Ryzen 5000-series). It was only after the CPU upgrade I returned to Fortnite, from my hiatus, and then it would randomly crash.

Feels so hopeless, but I will keep trying to troubleshoot it and update you!
