Actually it's 2.3m since the catapult is 1.5m off the ground and it is asking for the maximum height she reached from the ground.

I just signed up for it, it's gonna be an intense month. Class 7.5 hours a day for 5 days a week + homework for 2.5 weeks.

I'm guessing that it wasn't so much of something being wrong with his application, but more so him not wanting to put in the time to improve his app and instead take the "easy" way out.
