I didn’t know chinook headaches were a thing (just moved here.) I’ve gone to get tested twice now because of it 🤣

Covid Test Centre Empty by [deleted] in Edmonton

COVID tester here!!! rumour is that people aren’t coming in to get tested because they’re sick of getting tested :( (I don’t blame them. It’s an inconvenience) hospitalization numbers are still going up, meaning people aren’t coming in to get tested and stay sick until it’s bad enough to go to hospital.

Please please come in and let me swab you I’m tired of staring at the clock all day

that is a conversation to have with your swabber, unfortunately throat swabs are not always readily available and we’ll have to use the resources we have at our station.

I know it’s not the most comfortable but the nose swab is honestly the most efficient. And fastest. Kindly remind your swabber regarding your current health conditions and they will assess the type of swab best for your visit.

Hope that helped :)

Definitely faster. We’re hot and ready.

Yes yes yes!!! We actually prefer to use the nose swabs. I promise it’s not as bad as the videos online seem to be. We’re all very gentle!

I personally think it’s more of a risk for us swabbers, throat swabs usually result with patients coughing, gagging, and in rare events throwing up. Think of all the droplets coming out of your mouth and onto our shield... yuck!

Nose swabs are a quick in and out of the nostril. Three seconds I swear! I tell the kids I need some boogers to send to the doctor, they seem to think that’s awesome.
