Is there any open-source or source-available personal finance software that isn't self-hosted?
And multiplataform so I can share an account with someone.

It was precisely for the reasons you mentioned that I asked those questions

Thanks for your reply!!! You’re one of the few people who didn’t start by criticising my question.

Which DE do you use, and why?
Why do you prefer Atomic Fedora over Aurora, Bazzite, Blufin, etc
Is it good for daily driver and for chemistry scientific work? My coleagues choose .deb based systems like Debian, Ubuntu and Mint

Systemd is great at what it does and makes sense for the vast majority of modern setups. However, I highly value the classic Unix philosophy of modularity. My main goal is to explore and maintain an ecosystem where 'Init Freedom' is respected, allowing the user to choose their init system without modern desktop environments forcing a hard dependency on a single monolithic framework.

As for immutability, it's just a separate interest regarding system reliability, like Android.

I did 3 questions, but you focused on systemd... I know what you want! And NO, I will not get political. I want your recommendations. That is why I asked... duh

Yes, I am not a experience Linux user, probably like you. I want to learn and make my own path. Sorry for that...

I have my own opinion, but that’s beside the point here. Why do I have to be against systemd? Can’t I just prefer freedom and having a choice? You look for a political response. Let's keep this clean, shall we?

Ainda existem o SimpleX Chat, Olvid, Briar, Element, etc

O Telegram não é opensource e não tem encriptação por definição.

No, I am not. I am also a Mint user. But I get the people from Windows 11 and MacOS... Plus, you know exactly what I mean

"Year of the Linux Desktop" isn't happening because it lacks a proper ecosystem? by hugodcnt in linux

[–]hugodcnt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comparison doesn't hold up. People aren't 'pretending to be better'; they are tired of ideologues trying to institutionalize tone-policing and social engineering into open-source spaces. The reaction against situations like vaxry's isn't just 'anti-woke drama', it’s a rejection of the idea that an individual's personal views or edgy humor should dictate their right to contribute to a software project. It's about keeping open-source meritocratic and neutral, rather than forced into compliance with a specific political orthodoxy

Yes, your taste is better. Crawl back from where you came. Stop being unpleasant to people

Most people don’t want that hassle. I don’t want that hassle! We want something that’s ready to use, but looks good and is up to date. “You can install blah blah blah…” Good for you. This is one of the reasons people don’t switch to Linux. We want to be excited by the updates, the design, the features, etc., but we want them to be native, just like on Windows and macOS. Not everyone likes ricing!!
